I've never been a fan of 'Tanking' for the sake of 'A possibility' of a #1 pick. 2009 Edm sucked got the top pick and that turned it all around. That 1 good player led the to.......Another #1 pick next year....And now they have 2 and Edm is on it's way to..........A 3rd straight #1 pick. So what if we got a good pick. We'd still have basically the same group around him if we don't start dismantling certain parts that we can. Let's say there's a problem in your house's wall. Dumba is like the wet or cracked drywall. Not the main problem, But you have to remove him to get in deeper. And as suspected your foundation is old and not functioning properly. 3 PP's and some grade A chances especially around 7 minutes in the 3rd and nothing. Coulda-Shoulda won this one. This 'Dump and Chase/Aka lose the puck' offensive plan is just not a right fit for this team. But year after year, That's what we get.

I'm a bit confused on where you stand on Matt. #'s 1 +2 caught my eye as ...Can he grow in this current SS ? #3, Great name. but unless he picks it up THIS season, especially before trade time, I don't want to be carrying all that old cement around for 2 more years. I'm just frustrated with Matt since I changed my tune on him last year. OK, Maybe this kid is the real deal, Yet now he's reverted to 2 seasons ago. Given Guerin's predecessors, I'd have to think he wants to turn this around 'his way' but in a shorter time frame than 5-6 years.

I'd rather be a fly on the wall and listen to an actual conversation with Guerin and Modano or anyone in the organization than listen to what he says to the media.

It was amazing after only having that 1 breakout season that he was given this contract. The only thing offsetting his defensive errors last year was the scoring. He's on pace for what? 10 this year?! Maybe it's contract signing hangover but I'd trade him or (if possible) expose him to the draft. There's nothing telling me he's the next Burns like so many think.

Maybe that's the key. Dubs wasn't expecting to play. Boudreau shouldn't let on who starts each game until they take the ice for the anthem.

I just got home to see the highlights...Wtf Parise, Steals the puck and 80% of the net open and all he does is his usual 'Pad-Jab'. Any other year this game could've been the comeback vs Chicago a few years back. I'll remember it well always since my wife said "they could come back, There's still a full 3rd"...And they did. I was feeling grumpy that I was missing this game, But Now I don't feel I missed much. Sadly that's my overall feeling this year in general.

Well Yay!! Nice to be on the right side of an empty netter but It still irks me to pull a goalie, Down 1 with OVER 2 minutes left when you don't have possession of the puck.

You're optimistic that it can get worse. It could get worse if they trade somebody like Foligno. He's about the only one who still plays with effort and heart on this team. In fact I would trade him for his sake so he could enjoy his efforts with another actual team.

I get the feeling that Guerin and the Wild will just ride this out for the season because of the draft. This time protect the future and not lose guys like Tuch and even Haula. Leave Matt Burns-Dumba unprotected. He's reverted to his old play and last year seems to be just a freak showing. On pace for a 1/3 of last years total goals. Zucker, (Unless a fair trade comes up) Same. 2 seasons now of 'Not much' but they got their payday so... I think Carly is the puppet master here, Goating him to make bonehead plays and probably told him to call out the coach and team just to pi$$ off the org. She probably wants to get to a bigger market for her own purposes. I wonder if she was just a normal looking Hockey wife (If there is such a thing) would she have 1/2 the followers. Since it's known we signed Stalock just to protect Kakonen, What if we also leave Dubnyk unprotected (if possible) and see what happens. Given some of the contracts, Seattle might not bite on many but might as well put out as many of the last few years disaster signings and go from there.
