  1. Lol. If they didn't play Eric against Carolina, I'm not sure why he'd be dressed against TB. I'm guessing they're realizing that Eric just doesn't deserve a contract at this point. And, on top of that, they're probably regretting even signing Marc to a roster spot. They both need to pack it up and call it a career. This isn't the league of gifts that aren't deserved, even with GMs like Fletcher giving washed up vets or 30+ career AHL players gift contracts.
  2. No, he shouldn't. Fenton was an idiot for paying him what he paid him for the 16th season, let alone giving him a contract that paid him that through the 17th season where he didn't even deserve an NHL lineup position. Zito will be crazy to offer him a contract, even at league minimum just to play with Marc. Will only be a waste of a roster spot, as Marc is already.
  3. I don't see him making it past the PTO. He's just not an NHL player any longer and needs to retire.
  4. Agreed. Although I think Brock is committed for at least another year to U of Minnesota. While O'Rourke has a contract and is in their system.
  5. Pretty sure they're pretty happy with Ryan O'Rourke(2020 2nd rounder). A big, punishing two-way defender who plays well in all three zones, skates well, moves the puck well, and has a well rounded game that's hard to find in young dmen. Many sources believe he was a steal at the 39th pick. Having the strong potential to be a solid #2 NHL dman. And Minnesota's defense could certainly use more youth in it, instead of settling for aging, overrated mediocrity. If I were a Wild fan, I'd certainly rather see that type of young talent get his opportunity to help the team over an overpaid, overrated, about to turn 28 dman, whose deficiencies are well known and who is known what he brings. Which isn't much at all, and not a game changer type of game. But, maybe that's just me.
  6. Hasn't been a difference maker in about 9 NHL seasons. Why would that suddenly change now? That contract Fenton gave him is ridiculous for a VERY overrated NHL dman.
  7. Very weak by Kuemper there to track that puck. And now it's him with the .800 Save%. Just not good enough by these goaltenders.
  8. HUGE rebound back into the hash marks by Vasi. Just can't do that kind of stuff. Smart play by Valeri to follow his shot.
  9. As much as every Tampa player played down the altitude factor when asked about it with microphones in their faces, it certainly appears that it's a factor, so far anyway. It's crucial for them to have success on this PP attempt.
  10. Great look by Rantanen. Cirelli has nothing to be arguing about. Can't make that play when you're already down a man.
  11. Shesterkin should have to leave for concussion protocol. If he's going to react like that to head contact, then he should be required to leave the ice and be checked.
  12. Don't think Tampa has quite found their game yet. Hedman, especially, doesn't look right. Not sure if there's a lingering injury there, or if it's just because of the time off. But, he doesn't look right. Their d(team d, not just defensemen) needs to be better, and maybe get some scoring from their bottom 6. At least, shots and scoring chances from them.
  13. Tampa was gassed. Cirelli needs to get that puck out of the zone. Defense got too flat and allowed that open lane for the pass to Chytil.
  14. Two players that come to mind right now are Alex Semin - Washington, and Alexander Radulov - Nashville.
  15. Maybe they do. Maybe they don't. Either way, I didn't say anything about the vast majority here. Just about the fanbase itself. And the "vast majority" of this team's fanbase are not on this site. The point is, this "damage" that will apparently be done to the fanbase if management screws up this hiring of the head coach just isn't going to happen. The damage is already done to the fanbase that knows what's going on. And the only thing that matters to Comcast are those corporate ticket sales. Butts in the seats are definitely not an issue for Comcast. It's about ticket sales of those Luxury Boxes and Club Box seats to corporations. And, you can be assured that in those games where there weren't many butts in the seats, those Luxury Box and Club Box tickets WERE sold. All that matters, unfortunately.
  16. Clearly, you didn't see any Lehigh games this season or even pay attention to the pathetic season they had. He's not capable of coaching an AHL team, let alone an NHL team. And, he shouldn't even be considered as a possible choice. Loved the guy as a player. He absolutely sucks as a coach.
