With the likelihood looming that he will be sent back to the phantoms now that Sandstrom’s conditioning stint is up, I am curious to see how Sam handles this mentally.
Dude did everything you could ask of him and proved himself as an NHL caliber goalie. Does he go back down and pout or does he continue to work knowing he will be back up at some point?
Maybe Torts figured Ersson beat the Ducks a few weeks ago so….
Would have loved to see Ersson against the Big Bad Bruins today, would have been a big test for him
Looks like they are riding Hart. It’s strange to see a goalie coming off a shutout of the highest scoring team in the league have to wait so long to get the net again. Sam should get net tomorrow.
It will be interesting to see if they can hang with Boston. As bleak as this season was supposed to be, the Flyers haven’t had many games where they got their asses handed to them. Torts has them believing and competing.
Thankful I didn’t get stuck with the Bruins feed on center ice. Sparred from having to listen to the biggest tool in hockey
Pissing and Moaning is required to be a Flyers fan. There is actually a test in order to receive your certification as a Flyers fan.
I received my certification in 1980
Rick, is it now, yes as @fan4everposted there is a definite lack of interest in the Flyers Organ-Eye-Zay-Shun. The GM and people in Hockey Ops have no clue. The recent scoring streak you mentioned probably is a result of the Flyers playing teams that also suck. I am not expecting much from them Monday in Buffalo, especially because it will be the second game of a back to back.
I read that Sandstrom would have to clear waivers to go to the A, while Ersson does not. Once Hart is healthy, Ersson will be the one getting waived unless the Flyers brass doesn’t care about potentially losing Sandstrom to the waiver process.
Can someone remind me what Ersson’s injury was last season? Does he have that “injury prone” label? Thanks
Agreed. Despite the lack of talent the are competing for 60 minutes most nights. Grinding out these type of wins will do wonders for those who remain standing come next season.
I do not have faith that Fletcher will be removed from his position at any point, regardless of their record.
The Flyers could go 0-82 and they still won’t get the first pick. Bettman hates the franchise. He always has and always will so you know he will be in the room when the ping pong balls are drawn.
