Thanks for posting. That's a very interesting story. I just hope our Native American wins!!!
GO FLYERS!!!

Interesting you would post this. I was just looking at the standings and am amazed that so few East teams are in the top 10. It really does appear that the West is really strong. I don't know what could/would be skewing the numbers other than the fact that I think that the West has the better teams. They are winning the bulk of the last few cups too, no?
I guess we Flyers fans will find out on our West coast road swing soon.....

I think the hockey is exciting.....due to the fact that we are stringing together some nice wins.....And I'll take that over Laviolette's style play.
And I can't say how thrilled I am that we FINALLY have some, dare I say, great goaltending!!!!!
GO FLYERS!!!

I think both infractions need to be taken into consideration when applying the games. This guy needs to sit for a LONG time.
Yeo has it right. He knows his team isn't the toughest and of course, when does it end. The best revenge is winning the game!!!!

when we scored late in the game..
SHOULD"VE KNOWN BETTER

I'm worried about Mason as well. He has been playing lights out for the most part but can't get a W to save his life. I can't imagine that this isn't really tough for him. HE DESERVES BETTER!!!!!

4-9 unfortuantely doesn't count as an "emergency situation"Depending on who you ask, I think it's an emergency

@fanaticV3.0
It's all our reputation. They don't need facts to print it, just that we loved the BSB and still love this type of hockey. After all, we threw snowballs at Santa, etc.
And, it's all crap. This is why we'll never lose this bad rap!

“Ladies and gentlemen, the Flyers are going to win the Stanley Cup! The Flyers win the Stanley Cup! The Flyers win the Stanley Cup! The Flyers have won the Stanley Cup!” Gene Hart, 1974 Stanley Cup Final
Obviously....would love to hear it again in my lifetime!!!!!!!!!!!

The good news is that he's not an $8M player ... yet. He's still a $3.75M player.
Hartnell is the highest paid forward.
But, I agree, he definitely needs a talented sniper on his line. Giroux has great on-ice vision and is a great playmaker... and he needs a finisher or an equally talented linemate. Jagr a few years ago, Jake last year (22 goals, 38 goal pace over 82), and Vinny this year it seems.
Giroux is not Crosby... he's not even close. Maybe points-wise, he could keep up when everything's going well, but Crosby is a generational talent. Giroux is an elite player (or at least getting there). That Hartnell is the highest paid forward....that REALLY pizzes me off!!!!
What a waste!!!

We will see, but I wish that the Rangers team was the full team, without all the injuries. It is difficult to see if we've accomplished anything when we are not playing against a full squad, even if it is the lowly Rangers.

I say let the young guns play and if they do well, we won't have to rebuild next summer!
We need to start somewhere and signing has beens hasn't worked for us, ever!

It doesn't make it harder for me to stay interested, I'll always be a Flyers fan. I do miss the days of the "lifetime Flyer', retired numbers, etc. I like watching the team grow together and hopefully win the ultimate prize together but I think those days are long gone, to me that's a little sad.

Of course if he backs it up with his play and the team follows suit......he can make all the predictions he wants....
Just play great hockey!!!!!!!

I heard on the radio this morning that Giroux is proclaiming that the Flyers will make the playoffs this year. It is early in the season and they aren't that far out of a playoff spot....
Wow!!
Here is the link.....

My sympathies to you, having spent all that money for season tickets and having to watch this train wreck night after night.

Well at least if we finish dead last, at the draft we will safely be able to say that we are the team with the most balls!
Speaking of the draft next year it is in Philly at least it should be exciting as we will be gunning for good players who will not be traded for 3 years or so....
Nice balls comment!!!

Can the Flyers choose what players they want to 'send to the expansion draft'? I have a few suggestions....

I'm with you on this! With the apparent stability in net, I think we stand pat and ONLY deal with the few VERY bad contracts we have.
