Hopefully Fiala got his lesson on the doghouse. He's been awfully reckless with the puck lately. East-West passes not connecting near the blue line of the offensive zone. I'd say at least one odd man rush caused by those every game. It's not a shame to think offense first, we need aggressive players, don't we, but it's not offense when you throw a high risk pass and lose possession. It's offense when you shoot it at the net or when you throw the puck behind the goal line and let F1 and F2 try to get it back into possession.

IMO, it should be a must win game tonight, because by the end of the month we are going to have 4 games in a row against St.Louis team which will be fighting badly for the playoffs spot and the last game of the regular season will be against the same team either.

I'd be happy if Fiala could get somewhere between this year and last years performance at this point.
Talent is still there in spurts but his head might be getting in the way again. Somethings off with him anyway.

Maybe that is his natural Mother Nature development? In my opinion, he should control himself in more attentive focusing during the game.

I am still thinking that Evason does not make his own personal decisions regarding bench or not to bench. He mentioned this (it is always a group decision) in his interviews few times already when he benched Parise. I guess, that besides a coaching staff there are also included owner and GM too.

So, which team shows up tonight?  The one with surprising offense, or the one that can barely muster 20 SOGs in a game?  I would like to see a team that reach some consistent offensive equilibrium for the balance of the season....

Yay. Lou Nanne doing color tonight.

What!?!  No 'Wallowing in the Past' Walz?  I am so HURT, where is my crying pillow and my Safe Space?

Ol' Lou knows how to deliver some insight...and a few odes to the NStars golden years - which I like, versus the Wild purgatory years, which Walz waxes upon with self-complimenting hubris

L'Pants probably feels more at home with Lou....HE will not make his ears bleed with meaningless diatribes that glorify horribly average play.  Nice to have Knuckles Foligno back again for another game - fills out our HEAVIES line (both literally and figuratively)

Anyone notice that Sturm is now #3 among rookies in +/-?  Quite a nice year rounding into shape for our new C.  He has moved up in goals too, since early droughts in his career.  Just goes to show that if you do the right things at full speed all the time and skate to the net, good things WILL happen
