ClusterChuck
Why isn't Zucc playing tonight? Couldn't be an injury as he was serving most our penalties last night.

Apparently he was scratched at the last minute for a “personal reason”.

CreaseAndAssist
This was a pretty sad game to watch overall. Both Gustavsson and Kahkonen were giving up soft goals. The Wild made this game tough for themselves. Faber's turnover to Duclair was brutal. Sure people will fixate on Kaprizov's hat trick...which is always fun but we made that game a lot harder than it had to be. I must admit, I'm not sure why some people felt Nico Sturm wouldn't fit as a 4th line center on this team.

His face-off prowess would surely fit.
Tomdog
It will be interesting to see where the Wild draft in comparison to the Penguins. Before last night's games the teams were in opposite positions from today. It appears the Pens have come to grips with reality and realize they are not going anywhere but down. While the Wild appear to still be a little delusional about the playoffs. Will the Wild end up picking in the teens and the Pens in single digits? While the Wild appear to still be a little delusional about the playoffs. Will the Wild end up picking in the teens and the Pens in single digits? That’s the problem with the Wild. They are stuck in a cycle of mediocrity because they refuse to rebuild. They keep shooting for the Playoffs every season and then get bounced in the first round, which results in a lower teen pick. They then draft a nice player. Not a great player, but a nice player. So they have a team filled with nice players. Nice players don’t win Stanley Cups.

I liked him too. Nice speedy defensive forward. And a lucky Stanley Cup winner with Colorado team and a silver medal winner with Germany team at the World Championship. Here are his highlights 2015-2016 USHL Clark Cup Champion 2016-2017 NCAA (ECAC) All-Rookie Team 2017-2018 NCAA (ECAC) Best Defensive Forward NCAA (ECAC) Third All-Star Team 2018-2019 NCAA (East) First All-American Team NCAA (ECAC) All-Tournament Team NCAA (ECAC) Best Defensive Forward NCAA (ECAC) Champion NCAA (ECAC) First All-Star Team NCAA Top Collegiate Player (Hobey Baker Award) Finalist 2021-2022 NHL Stanley Cup Champion 2022-2023 World Championship Silver Medal World Championship Top 3 Player on Team

I listened our coach interview. Practically, Kaprizov, by placing 3 goals, didn't let our team to lose that game. Coach is always impressed how seriously Kaprizov is practicing before each game and how seriously he mentally prepared to play hard during the game. Next 3 games will be a challenge for us again - Arizona(Thursday); Colorado(Friday); Nashville(Sunday).
