ruxpin
I find the "who is better, the Sabres or the Flyers?" discussion comical. They both suck. It's like discussing which is more crappy, pig slime or chicken dung.
radoran
I find the "who is better, the Sabres or the Flyers?" discussion comical. They both suck. It's like discussing which is more crappy, pig slime or chicken dung. I find the "but your team sucks, too" reaction to discussing the problems a team has to be ridiculous. The Flyers situation has nothing at all to do with Buffalo's. Nothing. At. All. There are similarities - both teams have a GM who isn't very good at his job but pulls off marquee trades to give people means to cover up his faults. They both have owners who want to win, but seem incapable of making it happen. But overall, it's two completely different situations. The facts are that the Sabres are in rebuilding and their GM says that "suffering" is the order of the day. That they should fire that GM. That they should get whatever they can for pending UFAs who are unlikely to stay with the club. All of these things were said before the season. All of these things Hockey Junkie has vehemently rejected until they came to pass, at which point they were the best decisions the Sabres could have made - indeed the best decisions every made in the history of hockey. There is no one in Philadelphia who even considers for a moment the Buffalo Sabres when trying to determine what the Flyers can, could, should or would do. And, of course, b-b-b-b-b-but, The Flyers!

Buffalo Rick
This, coming from a guy who freaked out all summer long when anyone dared say the Sabres should rebuild and make some trades for the future? You have Tyler friggin Ennis on the Sabres top pp....um, no...Flyers have the better talent. You have a few excellent prospects coming up like Risto etc, but the NHL level talent is not close. Sorry for this dose of reality. You have also stated many times Miller is the best goalie in the entire NHL, will be interesting to see what he fetches if he indeed is the next coming of Ken Dryden....considering he is 33.Miller is better by far than any Flyers goalie. Yes he may be traded. Easy for you all to throw stones at the Sabres but your own team is in worse shape looking forward by far. You do not have even close to the number of draft picks we have compiled going forward. So in this rebuild they have chosen to do, at least they are doing the right thing while your GM is a chicken with his head cut off. Spending a fortune on a goalie that is now gone. Letting a good goalie get away. And beating the Giruex will win all formula to death. You have no defense. you have no goaltending. You have no coach. We have alot of young guys that will get better. You have alot of has beens that will not. I would not trade places with Philly for all the whiskey in Ireland

jammer2
@Hockey Junkie I'd go over both rosters player by player, but it would be useless due to the fact that you would never admit I'm right....so I'll save time and let you think the Sabres are better. Perhaps when these teams actually play we can settle this?
Samifan
Pass me a Molson please is what another GM will be telling Regier at the trade deadline!

radoran
Wait a minute. Just how much whiskey is there in Ireland? Personally, I'd go with the whiskey, sell enough to buy the team, drink the rest and go from there. Willing to share.
B21
I gotta peruse the Sabres section more often. Some of these threads are p-p-p-p priceless!
