Game 54: Canadiens at Flyers, 2/8/18 @ 7 PM

Greetings:

The O and B are installed as favorites against the sub-.500 Habs (that is not a typo).  But their record over the last 10 is better than ours:

On the other hand, as this preview notes, the series has been one in which the home team has a decided advantage; the Montreal offense has been sub-par this year.  We should be the hungrier team: Elliott plays well against the Habs.

Let's go Flyers, and let's see our youngins continue to grow.

Weise returns to the lineup tonight. Leier back to scratch list.

Well, maybe he has incentive against a former team...or the rust protector is wearing thin...

...two steps back. Killin me Jake.

Thread the needle.

Finally they score on the PP.

Give up a shorty along with a PP goal.

If they can get the kinks that remain in their game and come up with at least 3 reliable lines they can make the playoffs.

It is good to see them find a way to win even without their best game.

I would love to see ore of this Jake.

Good to see Elliott is playing well.

Here is a good assessment of the game.  The last point is perhaps the most important--we weren't good statistically. The Habs should have taken this one but Moose and a shaky Price probably made the difference:
