I missed the assist in six games but did see him get knocked on his ass a few times; and like most other Wild players he got back up on his feet pretty quickly while preparing himself to get knocked on his ass again with no 'edge' in his game whatsoever. He reminds me of Pominville, how he could get crushed from a check and find himself along the boards near whoever 'laid him out' and then glide really gently into the dude about 2.6 seconds after letting the guy freely pass the puck to a teammate streaking up ice.

Greenway?

What was that lyric from The Who...”Meet the new boss, same as the old boss...”

"Won't get fooled again"

- The Who

We'll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgement of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song
I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
The change, it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the fold, that's all
And the world looks just the same
And history ain't changed
'Cause the banners, they are flown in the next war
I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again, no, no
I'll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I'll get all my papers and smile at the sky
Though I know that the hypnotized never lie
Do ya?
Yeaah!
There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Is now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight
I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
Don't get fooled again, no no
Yeaaah!
Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss

Random Thought: Reader played for the Des Moines Buccaneers for a season prior to playing for the Beavers.. and if he doesn't make the big club out of the gate(which most of us don't think he will) he will be playing in Des Moines again.. I wonder if he gained a fan following there in his short time or if the Iowa Wild will pump the publicity train that he's returning to the area to try and put some butts in the seats.

So Fehr's already made the team and Matt Hendricks is in the press box already...?

Personally for me, that Wild starting line-up structure for the new 2018-19 season seems kind of boring.

I would like to bring more production, intrigue and interest into our team.

Zucker-Staal-Sokolov (Dmitry needs to build ASAP a real NHL experience with a very experienced scoring 1st line players);

Parise-Ek-Niederreiter;

Greenway(or Kunin)-Koivu-Granlund(keep last two for a best communication chemistry as long as possible);

Foligno-Coyle-Brown.

Fehr as well as Hendricks also could be benched in a press box for awhile. Probably, those two better to rotate with Foligno, Brown and Read to determine which one is more productive from all these free signings. It seems 4th line is going to be a real puzzle for the Boudreau. Still Cullen will be missed for me as a most productive player for the 4th line in a Wild history including his 11 goals,22 points last season at the age of 41. It is sad that Matt and Bruce did not find a strong communication solutions between each other. He was a pretty nice, knowledgeable, smart ,experienced, Minnesota native,and a triple Stanley Cup Champion player. Just a legend who doesn’t want to retire yet and who is playing in NHL since 1997. I was hoping that he will finish his career(retired) with our team in Minnesota, but that, unfortunately, not happened. Tell you sincerely, I will miss more his retirement with our team than Koivu’s.

To raise a production from our defense I would like to see more of those lines:

Suter-Spurgeon;

Dumba-Brodin;

Belpedio-Seeler.

Where Suter(late should be replaced by Filip Johansson, if Filip is productive enough), Dumba and Belpedio are more offensively minded defensemen and Spurgeon, Brodin and Seeler are more defensively minded defensemen.

Apparently, Matt Read didn't pass Boudreau's famous skating test...  not the best for one trying to make the roster.

The only three players besides Sokolov to have to skate an extra leg were Matt Hendricks, Matt Read and Gerry Fitzgerald. Doesn't look too promising for the gritty players that they signed...
