hf101
Wasn't sure if I should have posted this in the Stars forum or the Wild. As we all know Minnesota has been wanting the Winter Classic for years and now snubbed again. -- I'll bet ya the Stars wear some sort of North Stars throwback jersey... stirring more controversy.
AJgoal
Well, Dallas has been in the league longer, they deserve a crack at it before a more recent expansion team. -ducks-
TropicalFruitGirl26
Interesting. I too would have thought Minnesota before Dallas...although matching up those two teams certainly was a nice touch. But like AJ said, the Stars have been in the league longer, so there is that. I just hope both teams are competitive by the time this comes around. Wild have NOT been looking good at all this season and Dallas, well, they just got reamed by their CEO. Not sure what the weather in Dallas, TX is like during hockey season, but if they pulled it off in California, they can do it in Texas. Up next...Winter Classic in Miami, FL!! I would like to see the NHL pull that off! Maybe the Bolts as the opponent?
WordsOfWisdom
So it'll be ball hockey on roller blades then?

TropicalFruitGirl26
Giving this a bump.... Apologies if anyone read my earlier post...I had the Wild in against Dallas...very incorrect. It is Nashville in vs. Dallas. In that case, both teams should definitely be competitive and should make for a good stadium venue match up. Well, on the same team anyways....I would think Dallas would stick with Radulov-Seguin-Benn... and Pavs will center the 2nd line, but I get your drift. And who knows..maybe the Stars shake things up a bit this year to try and liven up the offense.

Denis Gurianov - Roope Hintz - Alexander Radulov 3rd line: Dickinson - Faska - Perry ...but things can always change...

I've been watching projected lines for many teams and they seem to change like every other day and depends on where you look. If Perry isn't completely washed up, he and Cogliano could make nice wingers for Pavelski centering a 2nd line, but that is just my take on it. If the Stars can get two legit scoring lines, could give Nashville's very nice defensive core some fits come the Winter Classic. Even without Subban, the Preds still sport one of the better top 4's in the NHL.
