I wrote up the game preview, and I'll be writing up the post-gamer too.  Big game with a long break for the Wild and Avalanche coming up.  It should make for a spirited game; or it could be a sloppy mess as guys are too busy thinking about the beach and relaxation.  But important for the standings and for momentum going into the home stretch of the season.  It will be about which team wants this one more.  Enjoy and discuss...

I wonder whether Eric Fehr is sidelined on concussion protocol or from a broken jaw or facial bone. Broke my jaw in a game long ago and remember it as a slow healing process, especially trying to maintain nutrition and caloric intake with a w your mouth wired shut. You the farm and one of two of Matt Hendricks or J.T. Brown going to waivers for the Iowa assignment, with what apparently is a pretty good AHL squad

Aaw, this is a great test: the best offensive line in the league against our D. Watch when MacKinnon takes the puck inside his own blueline and puts the pedal to the metal. That's some stopping for you, Ryan! 10 bucks you can't do it. Are we on? 😉

In any case I hope we win. And since Granny is injured, let him heal BB! He doesn't help this team at the moment.

McKinnon is clearly a Top Tier player, and was as a draft choice.  Rantanen has REALLY surprised me with how fast he has become a Top Tier player.  Granted, he was a first rounder and plays with some great players.  That said, it sure is nice when your first rounders meet (or exceed) expectations even earlier than expected.  I hope the Wild get smarter (or luckier) with their first rounders, as I cannot remember the last first rounder that met or exceeded or expectations earlier than hoped for.  Should be a fun game to watch....

5 minutes ago, Jimtown guy said:

I see Hunt is left handed. You would think they would of tried to get a right handed D man.

No kidding.  I didn't dig in but I almost thought they had when I saw they were going to pair him with Brodin and have Bro switch sides...  I didn't think much apparently... 🙄
