Of course, he doesn't look like he could grow one, but whatever. It would be cruel to do to Patty, but I'd be thrilled if Nylander became a Flyer. But when the going gets tough, he's nowhere to be seen. Pass.

He's 23. And isn't that true of all the Maple Leafs these past three years?

There are few players as chickenshite as him to go into the corner to get a puck. At 7.5 mil a year. And we already have JVR..

And has 26G/26A with third line minutes. Dump JVR and let the wings go the the corners. it’s not necessarily soft, it can be on purpose. If he had Konecnys heart he'd be a superstar. 10 hours ago, King Knut said: Dump JVR and let the wings go the the corners. Ahhh, dreams. (envisions a Flyer team without JVR and with a player who earns $7 million a year.) 10 hours ago, King Knut said: it’s not necessarily soft, it can be on purpose. Oh it's on purpose....cause he's soft. In a race for the puck into the corner between him and JVR, I'm pretty sure they'd both stop and wait for the other to get it until a 3rd player actually did.

Lol, I'm sure you've experienced this in beer league hockey eh? My favorite beer league move is when a player moves next to another teammate to deliberately tie himself up so he doesn't have to go get the puck, let you do it. He's like on the bench later going: "Sorry man, I was all tied up there," as if you just fell off the turnip truck or something.

Yes and sometimes a coach says, "Don't go into the corners *** hole, you're a distributor and I need you ready to make a play when the puck comes out and besides, I need you ready to get your butt back if the other guys are the ones who come out with it."
