This is another good test for the Minnesota Wild, to see if what we saw in Vegas was something to get really excited about or kind of an illusion.

The Avalanche are scoring more and giving up less lately, which is hardly a good combination for the Wild.  But if you want to be the best, you've got to beat the best!

Another playoffs type of the game. I agree - a good test to see if we are able to compete against them during a playoffs time. Their top 5 scorers have almost a double points than our top 5 scorers. Good advise - just do not look at that part, but play our own smart game in front of 3000 fans attended to this game. How to stop Avalanche speedy players? I think to be more physical during entire 60 minutes, just to bring down their energy, probably, same way as we did last game against Vegas. And our team should be focused more on supporting our goalie during the game too.

Let's have a good mini-series for the fans that finally get to see 97 and company in the arena.

1. Keep the momentum going.

2. Try to find some weaknesses in the Avs.

Contain MacKinnon and we have a chance. Let him run around freely and we're doomed.

Or give other teams the opportunity to see how bad he is.

I would like to call the Islanders on behalf of the Wild...Me: "Yes, we have a former 'effort player' that hangs around the net, and can get a garbage goal....But only if NO ONE is around him, and if we slow down the opposing defense and disallow them from touching and distracting him, and not allow him to take his stick off the ice."

Me:  "What's that you say?  His contract?  Don't you worry, our fans have agreed to cover it, just so you would get to test drive such a valuable player."   "So, you would like Kap too just to take him off our hands for free??   HANGS UP....

So you guy's think we can get a third Minnesota team to score at least 15 today LOL.

Went to our local college baseball game today. Wind blowing out along with baseballs. Final 18-13
