Living in California I do not get to watch the Flyers play very often that’s very few games are televised out here. Tonight was my first chance in a while to see them play and when I got home they were already down 3 to 1 at the beginning of the third. As discouraging as that was I figured it was a good opportunity to see what kind of grit this team has and the showing was absolutely pathetic. That might’ve been the softest most uninspired 20 minutes of hockey I have ever witnessed. This team is a complete embarrassment. If it wasn’t for Hart and Jones there’s a good chance this team would be in last place in the league which would be fine by me to get a top draft pick and Captain Zero would maybe drop his NTC to go to a contender and we could maybe bring in a real leader.

Stick a fork in them, they are done.

I have said it here many times - the Flyers will never win a Cup with Captain Zero. Good player, zero leadership. Worst long term captain in team history.

I have given up. Been waiting 40+ years and have come to accept the sad reality that the Flyers will never win a cup in my life time. They have not given me any reason to think otherwise. The sad thing is that I used to be a passionate fan that bled orange and black and would wear my jersey even when I watched games at home. I haven’t pulled the jersey out in years and I just don’t care about the team any more.

I agree and I was saying it all during last season. My fear is we have lost our franchise goaltender. For a kid that had so much promise, last year may have done irreparable damage. He may never be the prospect he once was. Most of the goalies in the league would outplay Hart now. His confidence is shot and he is currently an average goalie at best. Light years away from a goalie that could carry a team on it's back when needed and not even close to what we need to contend for a Cup. Sigh.

I feel bad for Elliot but I don't want to put Hart in regardless of the score. Maybe only give him a couple more games this year and save him for next season. Hopefully the his mental game isn't already destroyed but our franchise goaltender might have irreparable damage.
