But Stalock will now be under contract for that draft, so they can expose him and protect someone like, say, Kahkonen.
Kahkonen would be a 2nd year professional at the end of next season which I believe would make him exempt.

I think Lehner wins it, and good for him he has had a great comeback this season.

Iowa finished third in the Central Division and will face the second-place Admirals for their first playoff appearance in Des Moines. Obviously, this is huge for not only the Iowa community but also for the Wild organization. The Wild will open the postseason at home for the first playoff games in franchise history before traveling up to Milwaukee for potentially three games. The full schedule is below.

Hey hf, FYI...you didn't fill out the top portion of your bracket.
I did actually, but it is strange that the image double posted and that the top one didn't have it all filled in. oh. well. I hope I have it right. Thanks

No one can see my entire bracket? This is a comedy, lol.
I added your bracket above. FYI, Search for the Snipping tool in your computer's apps. Snip the image save image and upload in the editor box. I also purchased a program called snagit which is what I use most of the time.

I cant figure out how to post it either. The picture.
You have to take a snip of the image. Use Snip it or something like it. Save it as an image. then attach the image to the post.

UPDATE:
http://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/26332383/truck-driver-fatal-humboldt-crash-gets-8-years
"Jaskirat Sidhu, the truck driver who pleaded guilty in causing the Humboldt Broncos bus crash, was sentenced to eight years in prison -- the longest dangerous driving sentence ever in Canada for a case that didn't involve alcohol.
Sidhu's sentence was announced on Friday in a Saskatchewan court by Judge Inez Cardinal, who said: "Nothing can turn back the clock. The collision was avoidable."
Cardinal added that the effects of the tragedy, which killed 16 people and injured 13 others, will "reverberate across Canada for years to come."
My heart will always ache for the families ...... such a useless loss of life.
I saw that, and also at the end of his time served in prison he will be deported as he is a permanent resident and not a Canadien citizen.
I think I posted that the last remaining victim finally left the hospital earlier this month still unable to talk or walk. So sad.

Hello,
One more refugee coming from the Wild message forum that was closed down a couple of years ago. I've been following the Wild from the season Granlund came to the Wild (I thought he was going to be a major success story, I think I even compared his chances of making an impact - dare I say it - to Joe Sakic...). I also thought Darcy Kuemper was a headcase who would never get his act together
A couple of years ago I got ticked off by the ownership of the team and stopped following the team. I just followed the NHL in general. I was wrong. The team is not the owner or even the coaches or the players. The team is the fan base. Owners change, coaches change, players change, but the fans can and should go on for generations.
I have very little time to follow the games right now but I might pop in here now and then if I think I have something worthwhile to banter about.
Hello Lynxrattle,
Glad to have another fan from Finland here. Feel free to post anywhere throughout the site as quite a few of us follow the NHL as well as our favorited teams and players. And your right about the fans, we have quite a nice group here as we pour out our hearts and souls as we bleed orange, green, blue, red, black and well maybe not yellow.
oh, and btw that was one heck of a World Juniors this year. Looking forward to the Under 18 tournament.

To the best of my knowledge, it isn't the shot for the goal that is played by the high stick thus the rules state it is a good goal as only that last shot is reviewable not the play prior. The refs somehow missed calling the play dead by the high stick prior to the shot for the goal as it looked like the puck was played above Wagner's shoulder.

Nope. I think it is a great idea. Please send me a PM with your plans and we can discuss how we will do it, as I may be able to help showcase or set as a club. etc.

Frost doesn't look small out there anymore either. I'd guess he's 6 feet and close to 190
Yep. Since the average height and weight keep dropping he's basically about there.
2018-19 average height in the NHL is 6'1.05" , and the average weight is 199.54lbs.
a pretty good read on the subject. https://www.nhl.com/news/sunday-long-read-nhl-players-adapting-to-faster-league-with-weight-loss-better-nutrition/c-304065402

An interesting paragraph from Bill Meltzer in his blog today. Good times to come...
QuoteWhile junior success is not necessarily a predictor of a player's NHL future, it is statistically worth noting that Frost had 112 points in his draft-plus-one season but was bypassed for Team Canada in the WJC. This year, he is a 1.97 points-per-game pace in the OHL after leading all players at the WJC in points-per-game. Flyers captain Claude Giroux, in his draft-plus-one QMJHL season with the Gatineau Olympiques, had 112 points but was bypassed for Team Canada at the WJC. The next year, he averaged 1.93 points per game in the regular season.

Wasn't sure if I should have posted this in the Stars forum or the Wild.
As we all know Minnesota has been wanting the Winter Classic for years and now snubbed again. -- I'll bet ya the Stars wear some sort of North Stars throwback jersey... stirring more controversy.

I'm fairly certain it means the # of years completed prior to the draft.
