  1. NHL needs to look at this game, looks like a lot of favoring going on here, 6 powerplay to 0 ,2 4 min powerplays ,and the refs did nit even see the high stick till they looked at the tablet after the 30 seconds of the play in the other end, then they miss the hight stick call that lead to the ot goal and no review on that ,even though mayfield was down on the ice, pure B.S this game was.

Golden Knights goalie says it was tough to keep emotions in check against Islanders

As the video tribute was winding down, Lehner pointed to the tattoo of Long Island on his neck, a way of thanking the Islanders and their fans for the way they responded after he came clean on the first day of training camp about going to rehab to help deal with mental health struggles that led to suicidal thoughts and drug and alcohol addictions. His mental health issues led to a diagnosis of bipolar I with manic phases.

  3. Think about it for a second. Sorokin has three shutouts in nine games. That’s a 33% shutout percentage. And it should be higher. He should have got one in Chicago and that one in Montreal that Barry apologized for. He should be at six shutouts in nine games. Or a 66% shutout percentage.

    Again, ridiculous.

  4. The New York Islanders officially agreed to terms with Adam Pelech on an eight-year $46 million deal. That keeps Pelech here through his age 34 season at a $5.75 million cap hit. While that number may seem high for someone with a career-high in points is 21 points, it goes much deeper than that.

Pelech is arguably the best defensive defenseman in the sport, and he is vital to the Isles success. See two years ago, when he went down with injury how quickly the Islanders lost their stride. They very well might’ve missed the playoffs if COVID didn’t interrupt the season.

  5. urce: Islanders Going For Landeskog Before Suter/Parise Alot of talk out there that the Isles are trying to bring in both Parise and Suter...however, I have heard the Isles are first working up an offer to grab Landeskog as a UFA...Suter and Parise are a definite option, but not until they know they can't land Gabriel..

  6. Arizona Coyotes Acquire Andrew Ladd, Multiple Draft Picks

The New York Islanders have dealt veteran forward , a 2021 second round draft choice (60th overall from Colorado), a 2022 conditional second round draft choice and a 2023 conditional third round draft choice to the Arizona Coyotes.

The 35-year-old last played in the NHL during the 2019-20 season, appearing in four games, scoring just one goal. Ladd played one game with the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers this past season.

Ladd still have two years with an average annual value of $5.5 million left on his contract.

Over 950 career games with the Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Blackhawks, Atlanta Thrashers/Winnipeg Jets and Islanders, Ladd has tallied 249 goals and 289 assists.
