  1. Why you hef to be med? It's just game......
  2. good write up on Ryan Suter vs Shea Weber. http://blogs.theprovince.com/2012/05/09/ryan-suter-or-shea-weber/ Kind of stats heavy but interesting none the less
  3. @activestick I looked at Capgeek and we are pretty tight against the cap next year. Nash would be a great addition, but would be a long shot without sending players the other way. I agree on Weber, I wasn't aware of the four 1st rounders he would cost us. Oh well, one can dream. Maybe they'll actually draft and develop a decent blueliner this year.
  4. Bryz probably isn't going anywhere. That contract is hard to move and I highly doubt they are willing to eat that contract after one year. To me Bryz is a product of a good defensive system so they are going to have to address that area. I can see the D getting improved through a trade that will involve JvR and probably the rights to Carle. I am not too sure and I hope it is not Suter. To me Suter is a product of Weber. If they are to go big on a move it should be to get Weber. Nash will never happen, we can't afford him and Columbus is not going to throw us anymore bones. Perhaps that will also have to be addressed through a trade.
  5. Why pay this guy $51mm to go back to Russia to get paid again? F that noise! I say here's to the most expensive back-up in league history. Let him rot on the bench and I bet after a year of that he'll retire and willingly go back to the KHL. Side note, the entire team forgot to show-up for most of this series.

@mojo1917 I guess that could work if he took a pay cut, but right now the priority should be a #1 defenseman and a high octane sniper. Then whatever is leftover should go to the other pieces.

Unless Jagr pays the Flyers to play I would add him to that c'ya list. Not that I do not respect his greatness, I just think he is too old to be absorbing top line minutes. I would look to move Danny B down the depth chart. It is time to let Sean Courturier shine in the prime time. Getting a top flight right winger to play with Giroux would be great.
  8. @Podein25 Was that a Hitchhiker's Guide reference????[
  9. Can I change my answer now?
  10. Once the Flyers are out it, then It officially becomes the start of the Phillies season in the Mega Household..... No need to root for other team's glory; besides my schadenfreude meter hasn't been working properly since the Penguins and the Bruins got bounced. though it may start working again if the Rangers get bounced.
  11. 1 more year of Lilja, Carle is all but gone. JvR potential or not has not shown me that he is worth a fraction of his contract, Jagr will retire, etc. We should have some $$$ to upgrade the defense this summer. They need a solid #1 D man. Where is the D man tree at again? Homer needs to shake it.
  12. I do not see any blood; which to me makes it hard to believe it is a cut. Also, the said during the game last night that it was a cut on the hand, but that would not explain the awkward skating to bench. This is not good. Unless he already had a cut that reopened. .....
  13. @flyercanuck This is true. Mind boggling that this is the same team that won it's 3rd Stanley Cup against Pittsburgh two weeks ago. Oh well. Wash Rinse Repeat
  14. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Don't Jump!!!!! We need all the fans we can get!!!!
  15. Word on the street is it was a cut on his leg, but I am not buying it due to how he was limping off the ice. I am glad they are getting a few days off to rest and recover.
  16. @KnucklesNilan It was just kind of a joke, a bad one on my part, but a joke none the less. I google'd the worse images of Newark and obviously the best images of Philly (Society Hill). All in good playoff fun I suppose.
  17. I love the art of deception.....

  20. not as bad as "sloppy seconds".
  21. @Podein25 Personally I wouldn't sit anybody due to the lack of offensive superiority, but if I had to choose one person to send a message, it would be him. The only reason I chose him to be the sacrificial lamb is because he looked extra scared of the puck the other night. In reality though, I wouldn't sit a soul right now. It was one game they decided to take the night off. I expect a much better effort tonight. In a perfect world I would sit Kovalchuk and Elias, maybe Marty B as well.
  22. The offense was anemic the other day. Jagr must be out there. I'd sit Simmonds first for playing like a girl last game. Is he afraid of playing the puck along the boards all the sudden? Maybe it wasn't Simmonds, but it definitively one of the f'ers out there the other day.
