Luke Glendening to the Lightning.

Can't seem to find the money or term...can't be that high.

Glendening would effectively replace Pierre-Edouard Bellemare as the 4th line center.

If so, I think I may like this signing.
Bellemare was solid, a good soldier, but, he wasn't exactly fleet of foot and 38 years old.

Glendening, while not a speedster, is a bit faster, more physical, younger at 34, and has a super FO% rate.

I thought of you and @J0e Th0rnton when I saw the signings.

I honestly don't understand Carolina at all, actually.

Great minds think alike ..... I thought of @J0e Th0rnton too.   He is thanking his lucky stars he traded him when he did .....

Now the bigger question .....  does Pens keep him as a Keeper .... LOL

35 yr old defenseman, Erik Johnson, formerly of the Avalanche, signs with Buffalo for 3.25M for one year.

Could be a sneaky good signing for the Sabres.
Johnson has had his injury woes over the last few years, and his offensive output isn't exactly over-the-top (though he scored at around a 0.50 PPG pace when he was younger and healthier), but because he has had lots of time on IR, his 35 yr old body, may have less wear n tear on it from playing than your typical defenseman that age.

He doesn't need to be a star in Buffalo. Just solid.
If he can stay healthy, I think he helps the Sabres bring some veteran stability back there.

Poehling to the Flyers.

This is exactly the kind of reclamation, prove it signing they should be going for.

4th line center to push Laczynski out the lineup or atleast challenge him solid bottom 6 addition if he sticks around.

Willie Nylander submitted his 10 team no trade list to the Leafs, as their contract talks continue. That is from Chris Johnston of the NHL Network, on Twitter.

Leafs don't need no stinkin Nylander.
They will be getting Reaves on a multi year !! :shifty:

Probably yes. But I'm betting they're thinking Tippett-like reclamation project

Vladi Tarasenko still out there.

Sign a one year vet minimum and come to TB Vladi!!
Play on a line with Stamkos, Kucherov, or Point!
Your buddy Pat Maroon is still there!
Win another Cup!

Then you can parlay that to another big payday elsewhere after that!

Cmon...doooo it!
