flyercanuck
Too bad the article doesn't mention how hard Cousins works each game, or how much he aggravates the opposition. Or that he was his teams MVP, or that he finished 6th overall in the entire OHL in points. Or that he also had 88 pims. Or that he played in the Super Series. This is a nice pick by Homer. He's got the skill and drive to play in the NHL. He's also one of the most irritating pests you'll see.

That's because it was Panaccio doing the reporting. You weren't expecting credible journalism were you? He's too busy writing articles that are blaming Matt Carle for the loss last night. Podein25
@jammer2 and I were talking about him last night in Chat. Jammer wasn't convinced he'd make it to the NHL, but in part that was because of Flyers depth at centre. Could he play wing?
flyercanuck
@Podein25 I think so. Likely not for a few years, 3 or 4, but I think his desire and skillset gets him there. Phillys depth at forward may hinder his ability to actually play for Philly, but I think they'll find a spot for him.
doom88
Might as well do it like Detroit and let him simmer in the AHL for a few years. Might make the Phantoms better too.

hf101
Cousins is not expected to play against Syracuse tonight according to Patterson. The flyers also signed Campbell Elynuik to an amateur tryout to play the rest of the season with the Phantoms. The 19yr old had 11 points and 132 penalty minutes in 57 WHL games with Prince George. He is listed at 6'4" 190lbs.
