WingNut722
Graham Hathway maintains a blog called "Winging It In Motown", which is published through the Detroit Free Press. He has penned the article linked below concerning his thoughts on the lockout and the recent cancellation of preseason action. It's written through a Red Wings perspective, but his thoughts and opinions apply to any fan of any team who's maddened by this year's work stoppage.http://www.freep.com/article/20120920/SPORTS05/120920017/detroit-red-wings-winging-it-in-motown?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|Detroit%20Red%20Wings
idahophilly
Very true wing... This sucks for fans of any team. There are some good players that might be going out with a lockout. That stinks!
jammer2
@idahophilly Agreed Idaho, good/great players have earned the right to go out on their own terms, not Gary's!!!
WingNut722
@idahophilly@jammer2Three work stoppages since Bettman took office. Doesn't that mean anything to the rest of the League? What powers to the owners and players have to eject a poor Commissioner? Or is the man an Indominable Dictator?

jammer2
@flyercanuck Oddly enough, they don't look like they sound if that makes any sense. The had a nice calming, soothing effect....and nice use of the sax or horn (not sure what it was) thrown in there.
flyercanuck
@jammer2Great band from the eighties, saw them 4 times. Anyone who liked the Clash (Jones was the guitar player) or spaghetti westerns would appreciate this one... They never met a 'sample" they didn't like... jammer2
@flyercanuck Off topic, but I saw this concert when I was in Grade 10....I believe it was one of the Clash's last tours? Think they called it the Combat Rock Tour. Didn't realize how good they were at the time, so didn't fully appreciate what I was seeing, but I remember they had great stage presence....but I was really there to see The Who. http://www.classic-rock-concerts.com/performances/1751
