ruxpin
Sounds about right. Could have argued for more; could have argued for less. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=438984 Text SizeBoston Bruins forward Shawn Thornton has been suspended 15 games for his actions against the Pittsburgh Penguins last Saturday.Thornton had an in-person hearing with league officials on Friday.Midway through the first period, Thornton confronted Orpik in a scrum, pulling him down and throwing punches while the Penguins defenceman lay on the ice. Orpik was removed from the ice on a stretcher, went to hospital but joined the team for the flight back to Pittsburgh. He skated with the team on Friday for the first time since the incident.Thornton was assessed a match penalty on the play.
yave1964
@ruxpin That is the most it should have been, IMHO. I was hoping for single digits based off the side issues which were talked to death, but really, I don't have a horse in this race so I guess it is okay. goalnut3133
This seems fair to me, I personally think it could have been more, like 20 games, but pretty fair. These sort of things are so debatable & controversial anyway.

Polaris922
I think it was the bottom of the range but within the expected scope.
ruxpin
I think it was the bottom of the range but within the expected scope.I think there was legitimate fear that it was going to be well less but it should have been more. I guess they decided to cut the baby in half
