Yeah, he basically admitted that he's trolling at times. Yes, often funny. The only way he could be funnier is if he added curling analogies to his hockey "analysis." Because versus their peers they have demonstrated + ability. It would stand to reason that if a kid is the best 18 year-old player in a league that is 20 and under that that same kid has a good shot to be a very good player at the next level. It isn't rocket-science but it isn't exact either, some of these kids will work out, some of them won't the key is to have a lot of them so if, say Marc Friedman doesn't reach his ceiling the impact is lessened because maybe Robert Hagg does. Also it helps to have high quality kids competing for ice time in the developmental leagues, that rising tide of skill will lift the ship. - in theory. Hows Werenskis numbers compare to Provorovs there? Oh that's right...they aren't shiny numbers so they don't matter. You call them shiny numbers...I call them the more important numbers. Andrew Macdonald led the league in blocked shots a few years ago. Shultz is also usually (if he plays) at the top of that list. So I'd rather have my #1 defenseman have more points than blocked shots. We can leave the blocked shots to Macdonald...he should be here for a while. That said, the year before they went to their first Cup, Quick had a season where he put up 2.54/.907 and they got bounced in the first round. Mason's got a 2.77/.905 at the moment... Very good pint about not having their Quick yet...but the similar numbers are a great point to be noted. Which makes the decision on Mason this offseason a HUGE one. Can he be the guy or not??? Do you start the search over and if so with whom??? Edit: And for the record let me say i know it ain't all him but i have been very disappointed in his play lately. But to be fair the team in front of him has been crap!

What exactly has done? Hell he is 30 right now. Steve is just 28. That would make zero sense. And his numbers aren't that much if at all better than Steve's. Bishop's save percentage in the playoffs is better 927% compared to 895%. But the teams in front of both have to be considered........

I must be dumber than you think because I still don't understand. I admitted that I was trolling to see what people think about the article. The reactions were mixed, but one common thought is that Hextall has done a great job with the flyers. I say the jury is still out on that. I also think that he has taken the flyers a step back.
