While discussing all the foot shooting trades the Flyers GM Homer got credit for has anybody considered Lukko may have a bigger responsibility in those discussions than previously thought? Did he leave over Berube becoming coach? The flyer's trade scene has been strangely silent since Lukko's left. Any thoughts?

Its tough to stop a puck if you can't see it. With the Flyer's all-star defensive line-up,anti-screen squad, fall on your face style of play,its surprising the score wasn't higher!

It seems Berube is going to do it his way or else? With Hal Gill's sudden appearance I wondered what about Lauridsen? Is he hurt,is nobody available on the Phantoms?

You have to give them all credit for having each other's back. Something sadly missing on the current Flyer's group. Great entertainment,real hockey,they all really want to win from start to finish,a breathe of fresh air!

If anybody thinks Wilson made a solid play on Schenn,take Wilson out and insert Rinaldo. How would you and Shanny grade that?

The way Shanahan tells it, Schenn was the one at fault. The Flyers are soft! Until they start playing like NHLers they will continue to get pushed around,cheap shots aplenty,etc.. Montreal has a small team,but they are very chippy and stand up for each other. That's non-existent here!

The first line(Fluff Brothers) are learning they have to be as physical as the fourth line to do their job! The whole team needs to up their snarl level UP! I think its time to let Raffle spend some time with "Uncle Terry" to get his feet on the ground relating to NHL level requirements and give somebody else a chance.

Great partial effort! A win is a win! For one period the boys were willing to get their noses bent,employing a little hands-on with the enemy. Coburn finally doing what he should have been doing his whole career,this guy could be a real star. Chief has got the Flyer's V8 firing on five cylinders,must be timing problem. Giroux's backhander was outstanding!

How about "The Fluff Brothers"? Defense be Damed! I noticed Giroux has a double chin,hormonal disorder?

The reason Wilson ran BD Schenn is because he can and nobody on the Flyers will do a thing about it. So he did!

I'm still waiting to see Gagne throw his first body check! Richards and Carter were just not up to the role they were ask to play here(#1 line) but were suitable with a lot less responsibilities in LA. They are both good players,not top players.

The real problem here is Keith Allen is the last "Real' GM that really knew how to run an NHL Club. It's been downhill ever since!

Has anybody wondered now that Lukko left and his position will not be replaced on the Flyers,per Uncle Ed. Normally Homer would be in a give away the farm trading frenzy,I'm amazed it hasn't already happened. He just keeps mumbling"I'm happy with the guys we have now" !

The big guys beat the little guys,again! The Caps pushed the guys around all night and the Flyers let em'. Until Chief resolves that problem,your going to have a problem getting anybody to go full throttle. Grossman screened Mason on the third goal,he was all by himself on the fourth goal. Grossman plays 60 minutes and gives 100%,Downie and Simmonds do a good job,but that's it. Apparently there is not one Phantom that can help.How can that be? Mason is not going to stand on his head every game. Maybe its time to acquire a top five goon just to sit on the bench,just waiting. A team of 180 lb.over-hyped players isn't going to cut it in the NHL.

It would be nice if some of you who have acess to the Flyer's prospects in the juniors would keep the rest of us up to date on their progress. I for one would really appreciate it.

I hope the the Raffle experiment works,everything he has done could have been done in the AHL while another player( McGinn) could have been putting pucks in the net. A good name for this line would be the "Snow White" line. This may be the way the NHL is evolving,more "Fluffyness" instead of "Goonism"?
