Per Lou Nanne, in Minnesota High School Hockey Tournament, on KFAN with Dan Barario says name he has heard is Josh Manson, a big tough Anaheim defenseman, who becomes free agent this summer. Saw him play in juniors. Believe he is son of former Winnipeg Jet favorite Dave Manson. You can never have enough tough guys on the blue line.

Funny to hear Zane McIntyre called a veteran. He's from Thief River Falls, played USHL at Fargo Force, where he often volunteered as assistant to help run 6 a.m. practices with my son's Moorhead bantam team, and collegiately at UND. He's lanky, acrobatic and fun to watch.

Giroux would be expensive. Hearing a 1st round, a top prospect potentially a player. Plus his salary. I've heard 1st rounder or equivalent for Giordano. The Isles think they can get a 2nd for Parise, or Chara. Minnesota might add depth player but there are better options in Iowa than rentals.

I'm from Grand Forks and usually see a half dozen UND games this year. Sometime to Bemidji. UND can clinch NCHC auto bid with a sweep next weekend on road. Then it will be quarterfinals, the NCHC tourney, regionals and finally Frozen Four. Could try onhockey.com. mite not get audio though. I don't have cable, all wireless.
