I was with you in the first paragraph. The second however? I think Lindros deserved to be in a similar category as those two. Not the same, mind you, because he didn't bring the same style of dishonor but he brought dishonor none the less.
It's YOUR side of the Commonwealth's politicians that are to blame! The casino was willing to build it tax free for a license but Rendell and his east side cronies had a back door deal to award the license somewhere else. Why you ask? Nobody could find a VALID reason, which leads me to believe someone was lining their pockets instead. So when the Flyers fan base wants to cry about where their tax money is going, just keep voting in the east side Democrats... It's obviously working well in the fifth most corrupt state in the country.
@jammer2 Figured you'd get a chuckle out of it. Lol @pilldoc Yeah but major surgery at his age seems less risky than the possibility if another stroke. I get your point. It's the only thing that seems to make sense.
@pilldoc Thank you. It explains that surgery is not necessarily required and I get all that. My question though remains... If surgery to close it does no harm, why wouldn't they just close it? @jammer2 I need someone to interpret that. I'll get back to you when I figure it out? @everyone else Anyone speak Canadian? I need help with Jammer's post.
What I'm still confused on is the hole in the heart issue that led to the stroke. The show I watched about it, and the information I can find on it, all indicate it can be closed with a simple medical procedure so it is never a risk again. And it's actually fairly common. I don't understand why there hasn't been anything said about whether its been closed, or if not, why not?
Funny thing is I don't even know anybody that goes. I missed last year's because I missed the notice about it. Now this year I get waylaid by other commitments. Oh well...
I'm disappointed I can't make it now to tell you. A charity organization I serve as an official in has moved up a meeting Saturday and now I can't go. Shame.. Was looking forward to it.
The Penguins... Kunitz - Crosby - Dupuis Bennett - Malkin - Hornqvist Who is left and who is right between Hornqvist and Bennett is up in the air but I think Bennett will start on the left until we see how Hornqvist works with Malkin in his natural position. Downie is a wildcard. As much of a piece of trash as he is Tocchet seems to love him, and if Tochett can get him back in 20 goal form he may get the slot instead if Bennett.
That all strikes me as straight out if the defense's argument brief and its certainly not a judge's findings. There were also allegations that the prosecutors were Canucks fans. Seriously though, the prosecution was getting a guilty plea. They never argue the defense's excuses when they get their guilty plea. Those statements are NOT considered findings of fact, as the judge simply accepts them with the plea. Interesting there's no mention of the cracked vertebrae and such from his neck. But they bother to comment on how it "appears" Bertuzzi fell, which in watching the video over and over I contest is absolute horse ****. As for the concussion issues, the best neurologists in the world can't help anyone there. Ask Crosby how his return to hockey went for him. He sat out how much longer with "soft tissue" damage after the first attempt?
Except a discount.... Lol As for the Crosby discount, there was some grumbling about or from the NHLPA for a short while after but nothing really came of it. I can't recall if it was the association itself or just media hype.
