@nhlfan125 Welcome! My 'unbiased' opinion is the Philadelphia Flyers. They have a rich history which would be fun for you to learn about and give you a great sense of the team. They are a team that everyone (other than Flyers fans) love to hate and they are great fun to watch. They have some very talented players on the team and quite a few new up-and-comers that could very well set them up for a very bright future. They are a team which is usually in contention, being in the playoffs more often than not. Plus we have a great group of fans on this board that are very knowledgeable, passionate and just fun to chat with or read. I get a lot of my humor from the board. Welcome again and whomever you pick, it's great to have you.

@brelic Damn! Thanks for the info Bre, as you can see I'm trying to find the positives. Although I do believe Emery can hold his own, I get a little nervous if it is more than a few games, much less a few series.

Question for anyone.... Has King Henry ever had a playoff appearance and did he do well? Maybe we have another MAF as far as playoffs go..... Grasping at straws???? Maybe

I say bring him back (for less money of course)! He is part of the fabric of this team and we need his leadership, etc. I also think it would be good for the rookies (if they make it up), to have his veteran presence around.

I agree with you on this, but maybe we can send him to night school and summer school in the off season Best of both worlds... Can't blame him for wanting to have the degree (anybody know what his major is)?

@brelic Yeah, I saw that. Interesting comment and I too was wondering what he meant by that. It would be a real shame (and disappointment) if it did mean he didn't want to sign in Philly. I was getting seriously pumped after hearing all the good things about him. OTOH - we certainly don't want someone who doesn't want to play here. It'll be interesting to see if there is any new follow-up to this story.......

@Poulin20 How about now??? Wouldn't that be sweet!!! I'd say 2 years if Homer keeps the team moving in the proper direction. I think Berube and "G" are doing a great job with them and when we get a few new defencemen going, watch out!!!!!!!!!!!!
