    I would like to see the assistants step up more and relieve some of the pressure on "G". Whether real or imagined, it is affecting his game and though I don't necessarily think that striping him of the "C" is the right answer, behind closed doors allow him to just play his game and spread some of the burden to the assistants and other 'lockerroom guys'. For the good of the team, I would think they would want to say, hey "G" don't worry about that, I've got it covered, etc...

    Just wanted to welcome everyone back. I don't post much here but read the boards every day. It is so exciting to see everyone coming back to post and share their insights (both good and bad) and I can't wait until tonight!     Has anyone heard anything regarding the upper body injury that Zac may have sustained during Sunday's game? They mentioned it after he left the ice but I haven't heard anything since. I don't like this loss.....

    Coatsey explained the changes during the game last night...I couldn't follow (whether it was because it was Coatsey explaining it or I've never been the best at math, I don't know).....Inches from the ground to knee and inches from knee to hip, etc. The icing was wierd too. This may take some getting used to if they decide to keep it...

    Same thing I was thinking but didn't want to be the first to say it.....maybe thought there was a 'future' in it until he was traded to the west coast....

    @brelic I also think I saw something on the Flyers official website about Cleary but only a PTO.. You may be onto something but I think Cleary is clearly working the system to his advantage. I wonder why Gags is not at camp though.

    It's not that long ago, but I'd pick the Flyers/Sens game 'played' on 5 March 2004. The best brawl I ever saw, never wanted it to end! The fact that the refs could barely drop the puck and the benches at the end of the game was priceless!!!!

    Not that it'll happen (him wanting to return) but if I'm the Devils, there is NO WAY I'd approve this.......

    @goalnut3133 That's quite shocking. Ultimately I wouldn't want a guy like this on my team and believe he royally screwed the Devils but in the end they will be far better without that smacked-a$$ on the team!!! Maybe not for years but ultimately.....

    I wonder how much "G"'s lack of production last "season" had to do with the shortened season and all the drama that was Bryz. Quite frankly, I think the entire team played some uninspired hockey last season for large stretches. I'm happy for him and think that he'll turn out to be the player we hope he'll be!!

    @jammer2 Your excitement is contagious! I'm actually looking forward to the season starting to see what these guys can do. Let's hope there are no stupid moves to put a damper on an otherwise exciting time
