  1. I could care less about the playoffs right now. Lazer focused on the Cup...THAT is what we were promised with new regime! If they happen to make the playoffs without diverting from the master plan....great. I piss on the playoffs if it costs even a slight move off PERMANENTLY FIXING THIS ****!!!
  2. I'm kinda hoping for a high 2nd round pick .... 1) The guy is 29 years old, possibly playing over his head a bit. Sean does not really fit the rebuild time line. 2) He's a right handed D man ....those are always in high demand. 3) Not really a factor, but Danny already won his first substantial trade. Getting something of substance for the "throw in" Walker will make it look like highway robbery. 4) We all know how GMs lose their friggin minds adding Dmen at the deadline. Sounds crazy, but a late first from a Cup contender is not out of the question. 5) A Russian that should have been ranked much higher but ignored due to the World today?? Yes please!!
  3. Yeah...it will be a fine line between playoffs/rebuild it appears. The end goal ....unlike other regimes is actually winning the Cup..not making the playoffs...so that will factor in.
  4. I would be happy if Bonk had the same career arc as Bowen Byram. 2nd paring guy who gets pts despite not being on the top pp. Of course, Byram is blocked by Makar, where Bonk does not have that problem. Its not like York is hard to leapfrog.
  5. Not sure if its been talked about on here...but Walker is drawing trade interest. Elliot Friedman reported it. As a right handed defenseman man...price at the deadline could net a nice return.
  6. Reported to Pysops for laughing while crying....
  7. 12 years huh? Time flies. Have some nice memories of Philly.com....but that place WAS a cesspool.
  8. Would LOVE to see that! Greentree is a beast! Pretty low bar for ex-Spitfires playing for the Flyers. Eric Wellwood was promising before the horrible injury. Leighton froze on the infamous Kane goal...he makes that save, gets out of the OT and wins game 7? ...ok...pipedream. The other one I can recall is Frank (Blood) Bathe...lol. Edit...missed Neuivirth and Steve Downie ...bar still LOW! 81-82 season Frank Bathe actually won the Barry Ashbee Trophy....lol, not saying much since Norm Barnes won it 2 years prior...some down years before Mark Howe arrived!
  9. A lot of scouts thought his offense would not transfer to the NHL level.
  10. Knights beat the struggling Spitfires 10-7. Barkey with 3 assists and Bonk with a goal. Windsor forward Liam Greentree (ranked 15-20 in next years 1st round) with 1 goal 3 assists.
  11. We can only hope....early returns look promising!
  12. London comes to Windsor on Thursday...but it lands on my Birthday. Hope to go next time they come and watch our kids/give a report.
  13. Never thought I would pine for the days of G on the half wall...lol.
  14. I'm leaning 99% on a Peterson start here. You have the obvious revenge factor against his old team...the team that discarded him as a throw in and (more his stats and play but I digress) made him ride the bus. Simply put, Errson put pressure on him by putting up a nice game against Buffalo. This Hart injury IS his chance to show he belongs in this league. From a Flyers perspective, some caution is needed. Starting Errson here and risking injury in a back to back could put a .500 team in a hole they can't climb out of...the 4-6 week long range estimate on Hart WILL play a factor here.
  15. Hopefully!! Hes better than these last few flukey starts! Welcome!
  16. This Rizzo kid is the real deal! Like the way he moves and his hockey IQ seems on point. The stats don't lie, this kid should have never made it past the 3rd round...7th?...pffft.
  17. I also had high hopes...but if the kid don't wanna bring it...BYYYYEEEE!!
  18. As OC alluded to, Bonk has top 4 Dman written all over him. Excellent value for where he was selected if it all works out.
  19. No matter how Coots plays, dealing him means the Flyers giving up a 1st rd plus, or a 2+3 while eating half his salary. That's the reality of it.
  20. Early...but Denver Barkley tied for 2nd in OHL points with 13. 2 ahead of him have 14.
  21. I'm aware the KHL is tough on youngsters...just saying, if Patrick Thorson is an elite player over there...well that speaks to the weakness of the K.
  22. Patrick Thoreson (the one testicle wonder) had 5 assists for the Flyers in 21 games. The next year he signed with the KHL and finished top 3 with 71 pts in 55 games. In 7 years with the KHL (5 of them with St.Petersburg) he was well over a point a game = crap league.
