If the shiny toy wants to play for the Flyers it tells me he doesn't have the fire in his belly to win, because he isn't going to win here with the cap hell mess he will ensure the Flyers stay in for the duration of his contract. It would be quite clear to me that he just wants the money. Hard pass for me, yet I know chuckles is growing serious wood the closer he gets to this happening.

I haven't seen Gauthier, but everything I've read about him says 2nd line. That isn't terrible, but I'd kinda like a 1st liner with a top 5 pick.

Right, but he's hit 20 goals twice in eight years and his 31 in 48 last year looks remarkably like the 31 in 55 the year before and that's "on pace" for 49.

 

IF he produces what would essentially be a career year they'll be in better shape...
