We have no idea who will still be in the roster, but knowing JVR will be gone does my heart good. I wonder what it must be like, knowing that no other team wants you, not even the one you are on. Could he actually try, TRY!, to improve? Personally, when I think of this slug, after the nausea subsides, I get the image of the Corbin Bersen character in Major League. They chose 33 year old Max over JVR because well Max will help back check and actually play a little defense if need be, not great at but at least try. And Max has the same cap hit as JVR 7 mill. That is how sad it is with this guy. You'd think with a child now he would show a little pride so the kid doesn't look back one day and ask when he finds out "Dad why did no one really want you on their team????" Hayes at the very least needs to be pushed to the 3rd line center spot. If Morgan can champion this task it will go a long way towards the rebuild. As we know this team needs more skill and to get younger. Morgan has 77 NHL games under his belt and not long turned 23. The time is now. This team can not afford for another 1st round pick to be thrown on the wasted 1st pick pile. Morin Rubstov Patrick O'Brien his last chance to prove he isn't a bust. Frost??? Jury still out. If they bust that would be 4 first round picks on this honorable Ron Hextall.
