real quick...I DVRd the draft and put it on when I got home but ran downstairs to the kitchen to work up some tacos, knowing the Flyers would still be awhile.  I can't really hear tv downstairs but DID hear a chorus of boos coming from the stereo and thought to myself "Bettman must've arrived".

Like this pick, it's nice to see the Flyers pick a goal scorer and from what the pundits say, he's the 2nd best skilled player in the draft behind Bedard.

I was afraid Montreal would take him at 5. I had heard Briere really wanted him and was even trying to move up but he didn't have to and we got the 2nd best player in this draft and it's possible he's even the best. Yes, we will have to wait, and we're going to suck for the next 3 years maybe but the future is now coming and the future is bright. 

It just feels like a turning point and it feels like the draft went right.
