Oh definitely, however, was that the offer? Signs point to no. Danny would have loved a 3rd first pick this year. I think the return package of the Laughton trade was exaggerated.

OccamsRazor
No one gives a fcuk about Mette. But I do like to hear this about Emil. I'd be totally shocked if he couldn't find a spot on this sad blueline they are going to roll out to start the year. But he'll have his chance soon... At the time I said his true value c/would have been a first in this year's draft. That'd be fair. Depends on the position one wants to take. But it's always good news for Scott Laughton. I get there are guys like Shane Doan and all. And if ol' Laughts was already a regular 20-goal scorer with 30/70 upside then the comparison fits. (He's not) Then there's the dichotomy of the team having lost it's way and left bereft if any sort of identity under a decade of leadership from the longest serving captain but you know wouldn't it be great if the guy who was here the whole time could teach the young guys what it's like to be a Flyer? He's here. Everybody in the organization thinks he's swell. I wish him well. And if there's a first on offer at the deadline I hope his new team gets eliminated early. Otherwise his IIHF legend remains to be written. Edited July 6, 2023 by radoran
FD19372
I'll take the stiff for $775,000... over the one that used to be here, that made WAY too much, at $7 mil per year. Thanks!
