Howie58 Posted November 5, 2023 Author Share Posted November 5, 2023 I was thinking about this game over morning coffee. I remembered very similar hockey under Haskstol. Lots of errant shots, shooting from the perimeter, etc. He wanted structure, and probably realized that the only we win, as Torts has said, is playing low-scoring, tight checking games. Jordan Hall's piece said it well this AM: We have as many shorties as we do PP goals. Yikes. From my vantage, we have more scoring potential than under Haskstol. I wonder if is being coached out of them the Foersters and Tippetts? Long-term, Torts wants discipline and good habits. Short-term, is it killing creativity? We looked fine against Buffalo. Last night we looked inept. The poor PP is becoming a momentum killer. I'll be more critical post- Black Friday.
