hf101
Phil (oh I missed the net again) Kessel (mass = 82.5 kg) is moving at 3.5 m/s [E] when he collides with Dion (oh I missed my man again) Phaneuf (mass = 100 kg) who is (as usual) stationary. After the collision, Kessel ends up stopped in his tracks (like the Leafs' chances of making th playoffs). Find Dion's velocity moving away from Phil. JackStraw
42 Episode 42 was the first episode of Monty Python's Flying Circus in which Douglas Adams appeared on camera. Think about that.
yave1964
I understand your premise but I would like to point out your fallacy, Kessel does not move, he FLOATS. By floating down the Wing it is near impossible to collide with Phaneuf who is not in his track but is somewhere a distance away looking for a mirror to practice his scowl. So long and thanks for all the fish.

flyercanuck
I have never understood to popularity of the fauxhawk. It looks awesome with droopy drawers, an oversized t-shirt and a ballcap on sideways. Especially on a grown man.

Commander Clueless
This question is impossible to answer, as Phil Kessel (AKA the fastest fat man on the planet) is comprised of a lighter than air substance. The Leafs hold him together with a rare metal skin, similar to Captain Atom. Evidence: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elaM4clPYPo
JackStraw
@Commander Clueless - if a Leaf (Phil Kessel) falls in the forest, and nobody is there to hear it, does he hit the ground? Or just fly up into the atmosphere?

WordsOfWisdom
The next time the Leafs play the Sabres will it be the "non-existent force" attempting to meet (head on) the "backwards moving object"?
