A warm welcome to Timmonen, and he deserved every minute of it. Great to see him in the starting lineup and the nice salute by everyone at the game. We got to see Giroux with his first 5 on 5 goal at home this season, and now Jake is in a 3 way tie with Tavaras and Crosby. Good stuff. Chants at 4:40 of the periods, but dunno if they came through on TV. I thought Cousins got a tip on White's goal, but I guess not. Kid had a strong game. The last time I saw Cousins play in person was at a game against the Reading Royals during the lockout. There he seemed slow and lazy. He is a changed player for sure. Good to see. Side note: when Simmer scored the first goal I cheered and my friend called me out and said " hey wait.... I thought you want them to lose for the mc David guy" lol! The same kind of thing happened to Bode Miller in the Winter Olympics. Ask a question. If the person starts to show some emotion, move on to a different subject!
