Las Vegas unveils their facility, leaves nobody terribly impressed

This could well be a placeholder until they have something else constructed, but what the players will get when they arrive isn't exactly what you'd call high end:

"There's even a separate room for players to change out of their street clothes, to keep their personal possessions and hockey gear separate."

" The room also will have its own space for players to receive medical attention."

It looks more like a conference room at a Holiday Inn Express than a major league facility.

Well, @JR Ewing , you know, THIS is why Las Vegas got the expansion team over places like Quebec, Seattle, or even Kansas City.

No way THOSE places could possibly come up with anything to rival what the team will be getting on the Vegas strip.

Especially those Quebecers...seriously..what do THEY know about hockey anyways, eh? :5726b5f7a17fd_cointoss:

Egads. The only thing missing is cheap linoleum.

Hell, it looks like like they bought their carpeting from the discontinued section at End of the Roll.

Yes it does. Cheap lino would have been the only thing that could have made it worse. And what about that paint colour? Beige doesn't exactly scream "tough hockey team"

I wasn't going to go there, but since you did, I'll comment. The difference in facilities couldn't be any more stark than that. Oh. And, damn! Gord Steinke is still doing the news on ITV? He must have been there for almost 25 years now.

Yeah, I figured you weren't posting it out of modesty (or whatever you want to call it). When will the Oilers start to earn the lavish treatment they receive?

Team slogan: Me? No. I'm not a hockey player. But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Well, the facility does indeed suck, but the nightlife will be rock'in. Imagine how many visiting players wives are not to happy at all with the prospects of their rich, athletic husbands hitting the strip? Has anyone invented the casino app yet....it alerts the significant other when the front doors of a Casino are breached. I can see a few hundred of those suckers flying off the shelves.

I'm setting the over/under for the first NHL player to be arrested in Vegas at one month....ha ha.
