+21 after 39 games. WOW!

I must say sir, Bravo for turning your game around.

Doing the dirty work. Even staying upright way more often.

Especially with the rough start.

I didn't think you had it in you and you proved me wrong!

Keep the hard work up.

His bad influences are gone (Carter & Richards). Now he can concentrate on playing.

Those moves definitely woke him up i believe.

Made him realize if he don't pick it up he to could be jettisoned, somehow some way if need be.

So he stepped up his game maybe even trained a little bit harder this off season and it has payed off. Seems he has put his nose back to the grind stone.

The Simmonds move forced him to pick his game up around the crease too.

I didn't mean to imply that was the only reason. There was another thread that cited other reasons why his game is better. A couple other reasons were because his personal life seems to be in order and playing on a line with Giroux and Jagr. My guess is it's a combination of all those factors.

like Digi said, "Definitely"

Maybe sometimes we forget how much of an impact a player has, not necessarily always where it's easy to see, but how players affect each other - damn good point about Simmonds - one of the hardest-working men in show business - Hartnell must watch him and realize that's his game too, and he'll be damned if someone's going to do it better.

aside from how well he's been this season, the fact that he isn't always on his butt has been surprising

Now that you mention it, I haven't seen him land on an opposing goalie in a while either.

haha, that just conjured the familiar image of him getting up from the pile with the goofy "what?" look on his face. Yeah, not much of that this season either
