  1. sometimes all you have to do is put the puck on net and good things, uh er....
  2. @Chicago Hawkie His accomplishments have done much to weary this Flyers fan. The guy's a beast but I'm ready for him to take a seat in the broadcasting booth... or heck, a beach chair even
  3. I had assumed the Winter Classic jersey was going to assume that role. Obviously I not. I wouldn't mind seeing the team wear a 3rd jersey from time to time. The one thing that I don't want to see happen is the orange jersey disappear like it did when that black 3rd jersey became the permanent jersey and the orange went away for a few seasons
  4. I agree with OP as well, what's taking so long? Gotta send the message (accountable play) and nothing conveys a message stronger than consistency within that message. Give him the hook, stroke his ego later...
  5. dear lord, I've heard "O M G" before/ I've heard j/k before as well. But so say "#"? i quit
  6. haha, reminds me of the early days here on this board when I was agreeing with a point you had made and all I wrote was "QFT" you thought I meant "Quit ******* Talking", where I really meant "Quoted For Truth". obviously a vast difference in the two interpretations
  7. I was looking to make mention of this but I wanted to back it up with video... couldn't find one, though I know I saw one in the past of him sneaking a boogie snack
  8. "did somebody say my name?" http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/flyers/SBNation_20131104_Scott_Laughton_is_really__really_good.html
  9. I too believe the C haunts G. I was one of the bunch who suggested just rolling 3 A's for a while till a true leader emerges. Who care's who the designated C and A's are anyway? I know it has something to do with talking to the refs, but in the locker room, does anyone really give a sh!t? Seems to cause more problems than is solves. I also agree with those who've stated that it's too late now. You take that thing off an you lose the player altogether, so may as well get working on a trade. Benchings need to take place. That's the only message that can be sent at this point. Put G on the popcorn line for a few. And don't hesitate to keep sending them. Have management and the coach label it "players have to earn their ice time every night", and just reward those who give consistent effort and produce.
  10. I voted for screw it and let the young play. however, I'd like to clarify that "screw it" doesn't really capture the way I feel, I just believe there are too many areas on this team that needs addressing and I don't think one or two trades gets the job done. The team apparently feels as though the fan base is unwilling to endure the growing pains of a rebuild so they will never have the balls to cut out overvalued, aged talent to bring in prospects or draft picks with the intent of building to the future. Just imagine how the fan base would react if they took the approach the Sixers are taking this season.
  11. because they are now owned by the same group that now owns the Sixers... semi-city loyalty?? (reaching here )
  12. haha my answer gonna be " don't say that to management"
  13. love or hate the hockey player, you know this guy would be cool to hang with. suck it Phaneuf!!!
  14. better not, ticket prices are high enough as is
  15. i'll 2nd that (3rd that or fourth, i haven't gotten that far through the thread yet)
