Howie58
Greetings: The Avs are a favorite and have won three straight against us: https://winnersandwhiners.com/games/nhl/2-1-2020/colorado-avalanche-vs-philadelphia-flyers-prediction-8529/ This is another benchmark game against a "Speed/Skill" team that plays well out-of-conference. I will be curious to see who we play in goal.

It needs to be better. They have 6 more back to back game sets this year....he isn't going to be able to how the fort down without Hart. He is better in a rested backup role. So wonder who starts today....Lyon was very unimpressive in the Montreal loss. Flyers really really need these two points. The good news is they got some help last night from Vegas who beat the Canes in regulation. So there is a 3 way tie for the last wild card spot between Leafs, Canes and Flyers with 61 points. However the Flyers lose out and are 3rd in that tie due to ROW tie breaker 4 behind the other two teams with only 22. So a win today with 2 points is greatly needed. No out for another week according to Fletcher. https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/flyers/injury-update-practice-shayne-gostisbehere-michael-raffl-carter-hart I would think to let Moose start again and redeem himself...let Lyon play vs. Detroit. I thought the Crosby goal was one he'd like back, it was a good shot, but stoppable, he wasn't screened he didn't play it well. I think Lyon will get lit up vs Colorado and Moose will play anyway. team needs to be better than .903 save %

Flyers 5 Avs.....3. somebody put the bisket in the basket... And Lyon needs to play sound positioning and eliminate the juicy rebounds. Forwards are going to have to back check and help in their own zone vs the Avs quick transition game. It would be nice to score the first goal...or two. OccamsRazor
Avs make quick decisions with the puck and get going fast with the puck north....Flyers spend to much time thinking and circling....and then attempt to many lateral passes instead of just getting it up ice. Lyon has been sharp so far and tested.

tucson83
now, i think i know why this team is struggling on the road, you take notice when this team scores first they have alot of jump and when they start trailing, they start loosing confidence and fold like tent and it's example of our leaders not stepping up which puts alot of presure on the young players having to grind for goals because the leaders are not your finishers. i mean you look at when we had lindros and john c, this team have no fear even when they were trailing, they played so confident that they know that their leaders lindros and john c were always going to score goals and come back, that's how great they were and when you look at giroux and jake not playing like them, it puts alot of pressure on the team and they start losing their confidence because they know in their back of their minds they wont come back in result of them not having the talent to score goals and come back. the flyers need that type of player that this team can feel confident with even when they start trailing in games, that player can score goals and bring this team back, i dont know who but it's always going to be this issue until they find someone that they feel confident with. He stayed out too long, fell down trying to shoot the puck leading to a turn over, then high sticked a player leading to a goal. Momentum switch for Avs. Good job NAK
