If that is truly the case then make him the goalie coach. I like Emery but he just doesn't have the ability anymore to play the game against any team that can pass the puck laterally. With defensemen that back into the zone nearly every time (Streit/Macdonald), Emery will be hung out to dry.

I think the gist of this is that Buffalo is looking for Buy Out Candidates before they are actually bought out. So they take the person's contract instead of that person being bought out and charge the team needing help a first rounder to boot. Not a bad idea as long as those contracts are not more than a year or 2 from expiring.

1) Seidenberg had **** for brains when he played here. The only reason his play improved is his defensive pairing partner(Chara). 2)Sharp, yeah, pretty much dumb hitchcockian move. 3)JVR, Doesn't have the heart needed to play hockey. Don't get me wrong, he has the skills he just doesn't like to show them all the time...... JVR and Seidenberg should not be lumped in with Justin Williams in any other category than they were also traded by the Flyers. The similarity stops there.

I think he has always seen them....I think Suter "enlightened" him with the knowledge that he would not be seeing much ice time unless he chooses to use his line mates instead of streaking solo down the ice then shooting high and wide........I too believe that his exile to Columbus taught him that if he wants to avoid that situation again, he had better listen to his coach.

I would vote for Buffalo Rick/HockieJunkie over Bettman......Seriously though, can you imagine just how much more enthusiastic players would be receiving the Cup from the Keepers of the Cup versus Bettman? Both of those gentlemen are well known and revered for their care of the Cup. It would only seem fitting for them to present it and do away with all of the booing that Bettman has and always will bring to a cup presentation.

Yeah, I have to agree with hf101, as long as Plekanec/Subban/Briere are still playing,this thread should absolutely thrive. It is sickening to watch these refs continue to not call the dives perpetrated by the same individuals game after game. Are the refs not allowed to watch the tape and see just how bad they are being made fools of? There was a time when they actually had the ability to fine the divers and even suspend them after the fact. I remember it happening to Sean Avery(fined). In theory, it was supposed to embarrass the diver into stopping. Has that been removed from the CBA by the Actor's Guild or something?

Hall I would keep. I don't think Emery's hip has another season in it. I would keep Timmo too but it would be at a drastically lower salary(2 to 3 mil) and cut his even ice minutes and just let him log time on the PP and PK.

I would say 10 games but he is a former Flyer so it could easily become 20..... Carcillo is a knucklehead acting like that with a referee. I did not see any spitting or intent to injure so in reality and since this is the playoffs he should only get 3-5 per 40.4-Category III offense. The referees are bringing this on themselves by letting players get away with the verbal abuse and not using their own rules to control it. Kind of like the lack of interference/holding calls they seem to have forgotten how to call......

Of that limited group, I would probably choose Karlsson from The Sens. Have you ever watched Subban play D? He reminds me of Letang with his playing actual defense when the mood hits him. PK Subban is and always will be a spoiled me,me,me brat with above average shooting skills. That is only my personal opinion of him and his game.
