  1. “I feel like I don’t see anyone out there” Mats, Look behind you. 5 or so preseason games clustered with Iowan's and only 2 reg games, Oh and a new team. We'll probably see the 'Boudreau Shuffle' soon, So Mats will feel like this for a while.
  2. I am so tired of this pulling the goalie with over 2 minutes to play. It's NOT an advantage by any means if your team hasn't shown the ability to control the zone. Granted if you've been dominant in the O zone during the game and/or PP's then fine, But that's not our Wild... 1 mistake and game over, And for me it kills that late game excitement of the crazy finishes. Then say it's tied, Those last 4-5 minutes are hanging on for the OT and who has the advantage with the 3 on 3. No push to win in regulation...This S#!% is ruining the game for me.
  3. Is it "Flashing the leather" or Donato's ability to directing straight into the glove?
  4. One thing I'd like to see is BB keeping lines together. The only way this team will have any success is chemistry and know where and what the line mates are doing. This is not BB's history tho. Even when we had 1 strong scoring line, He'd break them up to get other's "going". We've seen the results.
  5. Watching the Blues in the Finals showed a huge difference between us and them. They had pretty much Everybody hitting and not just bumping into them. Even Tarasenko was throwing it around nicely. You can probably count on 1 hand how many players we have who would consistently hit and put in that kind of effort. We'll need a different playing style because if we continue to "get the puck in deep...work the boards...yadda yadda" we'll fail. It may work a bit in the regular season but not in the PO's. With all the hitting going on, The other teams will easily disrupt our plays and we don't adjust very well. I watched as many PO games as possible trying to see how the Wild would be affected and by what I was seeing it was a good thing we didn't make the PO's.
  6. I've pretty much given up trying to figure Fenton out. "Speed and Youth!!"....And yet we hear names like Pavelski, Kessel, Simmons and now Zucs. To me it sounds like a PR move for recognizable names and/or local boys to restock the Warming House. And then continue the 'plan' by getting Fiala's and Donato types.
  7. Thanks, I have to admit I was a bit thrown by the double points in the final round. (I didn't realize it until after Gm 1) It almost made the other rounds feel like the "Just get in" for the playoffs feel. But my Luck and timing in those rounds was enough to hang on...By a thread. . .Literally limped to the finish line, Lol. That saying about toughest thing in sports is having to hold a lead is so true.
  8. Big Thanks to hf101 for running the playoff picks and solo I may add. *Applause* Also thanks to those who played and stuck it out through the whole thing. Too bad more weren't involved. I look forward to the new season picking Wild games and being there from the start this time.
  9. June 12, 2019 AWAY HOME St. Louis 3 Boston 4 Since I picked the 'B's, The Blues get to hoist the cup. Since that's how these things have been going for me this round. If either team gets up by 2 near the last 10 mins, It'll become an empty net score fest.
  10. Rolls dice... June 9, 2019 AWAY HOME Boston 4 St. Louis 3
  11. I would've liked to pick the Blues for a 4 straight sweep. But I have to go with who I think will win each night and not who I want to. I'd really like to see a Home team hoist the Cup and have the fans go nuts, And I really don't want that honor to be Boston.
  12. I'm giving St. Louis 1 more chance... June 3, 2019 AWAY HOME Boston 3 St. Louis 4
  13. A couple of stupid undisciplined penalties would be my 1st reason. (Even tho I don't think that stick to the chin actually hit.) Blues let them back into the game and the B's PP fired them up. That was the Blues road game to take and they blew it.
  14. I still want to believe he was suffering from Big Contract pressure, Which he put on himself. Gripping his stick too tight was an understatement. Virtually every chance was botched and it snowballed all season. I can't believe in such a drop off in ability would happen that quick. If he hadn't signed that contract and this happened, That's a different story. Given a chance to reflect on it all, Zucker may go into this season a bit more relaxed and hopefully regain his play of the season before last. People seem to love Carly, But to Tweet things like "If you want to stay in Minny, You better start playing like it" Doesn't help a bit when someone's struggling. Might/Probably said in jest but C'mon. She's probably annoyed Fenton to the point of trading him to shut her up. Fenton seems bent on trading him, But I'd like to see him back. If he was to regain form He'd be a strong asset. He's still young enough and has obvious speed in which what was Fenton's 'Big Plan'.

  16. Is he for sure retiring after this season? Out of respect for Joe, I'd love to see him finally hoist the Cup. 1 of the few reasons I even care about the Sharks but they are so beat up and seem exhausted. I just want to see a good SC final with 2 teams in good shape.
  17. I heard they already put the Zamboni up on blocks for the season at the SAP center, So..... May 21, 2019 AWAY HOME San Jose 3 St. Louis 4
  18. He's probably planning for Koivu being gone after next year and is looking at long term as a reason if things don't change much next season. And yet he signs Staal to 2 years....
