  1. Wheww. Promising. But no Rossi? Still something Covid-related?
  2. The panelists sound very optimistic! I like that. I'm sure these guys know hockey, the Wild, and follow both with a passion. I'm a little bit more worried, but even I would say that we have a better chance of making the playoffs than not.
  3. Greenway almost always leaves one wanting more out of him. I for sure wish that Beckman could challenge for a spot. Maybe that would help in getting more from Greenway.
  4. I'm pretty hopeful Beckman has already done enough to get a chance of playing some games in the regular season. Getting it done should matter.
  5. 6-4 loss against the Avs. Addison +/- -4, Hammond save % .64 or something. Beckman with another goal, though.
  6. 1. Colorado 2. St. Louis 3. Dallas 4. Minnesota 5. Winnipeg 6. Nashville 7. Chicago 8. Phoenix
  7. Yup. Bertuzzi and Larkin would do well to read that post
  8. There's so many "if everything goes along the plan" things now: 1. If the old d-men we signed won't lose their legs yet, 2. If the youngsters Boldy, Rossi, Addison prove themselves to be the real deal, 3. If Talbot keeps playing as well as he did last season, despite his history and age, and if Kahkonen shows the beatings he suffered were just an anomaly, 4. If Fiala, despite being an obviously driven guy, decides to forgive and forget the wall flower treatment he was given by the organisation, 5. And if Kap doesn't suffer a sophomore slump, Then we might be competent. Otherwise it might be tough going. Personally I'd like O'Rourke to get a chance to play a couple of games for the Wild already this season. Anyways, I'm just thrilled to see some hockey again, and I guess with the arena packed again. Be it a bad season or a good season, I'm sure the fans will be treated with some excellent hockey highlights to remember.
  9. Exactly. It's "personal", if everything goes fine. If he ****s it up for him and his family, it's him crying for help from every one around.
  10. Thanks a lot. I seem to be thinking on the same lines, good riddance to 11/20 and no to Eichel without a major reduction in the price asked - and even then pretty reluctant to trade for him. I'm sure the next articles have very different views on where we are going, will there be any success, how will Fiala, Boldy and Kap turn out, etc. I'm looking forward to it
  11. With that kind of money 35 goals is a minimum expectation with 80 to 85 points to go along with. Considering Guerin's decision actions speak louder than words. Giving the NTC is totally crazy - except if he really believes the Wild can be developed to a point that Kap might be tempted to stay. I hope he's right of course, but I'd say the Russian NHL enthusiasts with their 73 percent prediction of failure is pretty realistic ☹
  12. Good for Beckman but otherwise a pretty horrible result
  13. It certainly looks promising right at this moment. Boldy might be ready this season, most opinions on Rossi seem to put him near Boldy's readiness, and then there is the fact that now Kap is playing for us for at least 3 seasons, and the news from the KHL have been as good as we've ever dared to dream. I'm going to try to concentrate on the now. The future might be a Gaborik re-run, but in the next weeks and months we really could be having the pleasure of watching some of the best hockey we've seen the Wild play.
  14. Guerin was interviewed in Judd's Hockey Show: https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cDovL2ZlZWRzLmh1YmJhcmRwb2RjYXN0cy5jb20vMTUwMGVzcG4vcG9kY2FzdC9NYXR0QW5kSnVkZHNIb2NrZXlBZHZlbnR1cmU/episode/M2NiZTVhNWYtMjE4NS00OWJmLWE2ZDYtY2IwOGIzNWMyMjM5?sa=X&ved=0CAYQkfYCahcKEwjImNWc-ZnzAhUAAAAAHQAAAAAQAg&hl=en-FI I guess Guerin is just very confident he can keep Kap. It is what it is, and we just have to hope Guerin's right. If he is not, this decision will probably eventually end up costing him his job as a GM.
  15. I guess I could live with the money side of the equation, but to let Kap control his destiny with the NTC... That's risky for the Wild. If he fails, we paid too much. If he succeeds, he could just walk after year five, Gaborik style.
  16. The NMC makes this a potential disaster, for the reasons C&A stated in the article
  17. Yup. Giving the world for him would take a lot from the rest of the team, wrecking the room. Let him sit William Nylander style.
  18. Boldy and Rossi seem to be working together nicely. Let's see how they manage against tougher competition.
  19. Let's hope so. That would help a lot in this yet another Minnesota sports style calamity.
  20. He's not going to make it to camp. He needs a contract, a visa, and a new vaccination. Sputnik is a no go, I'm sure. The stubborness is now hurting the team.
  21. Thumbs up for Rossi being able to make it! Exciting times for him and us fans
