Who's the first...

Wouldn't surprise me if it's Goulbourne just by the Flyers calling him Z2, after Rinaldo, and their in love with Rinaldo. He's the player now he's going to be in 5 years IMO

If Goulbourne plays first that is more of an indictment on the Flyers than on the other two prospects... Much as I love Rinaldo you don't really need more than one of that kind of player on your team.

You don't really need guys like him now in the NHL. Guys like him, Barnaby and Domi does nothing for you in the playoffs except become liabilities for taking bad penalties. The Flyers seriously need to stop drafting these knuckleheads so high. I wouldn't have a problem if they were 7th rd picks.

Most likely Hagg.

Well he said in his interview he still has a lot to work on and would like to spend two more years with Modo before coming over and he would then need to spend a year with the Phantoms ironing out his game.

Plus he is older than Morin...............so i'll say Goul will be here first he is already 19.

I beg to differ.

Last year in particular Rinaldo showed that he has the tools to be a hard hitting energy line player. He works hard, is not a liability in his own end and skates extremely well. Oh, and he was a 6th round pick.

I do agree that there was no need to draft Goulbourne in the 3rd and would prefer to have taken a player with a potentially higher career ceiling. Take him in the 6th by all means though.

He's ok to play in the regular season but come playoff crunch time do you trust putting him out there? If we are up by 1 goal or trailing by 1, he would be sitting on the bench. These types of players are being watch closely by refs now, if a clean hit looks questionable or a soso infraction occurs they will just penalize him. We don't need that come playoff time. I would likely give his spot on the bench in favor of a penalty killer or a faceoff specialist as that guy would be more important then a Rinaldo type player.

He is the type that is wanted nowadays. The guy's who hit and fight, that skate well are replacing the big/slow pure fighters. Maybe in a couple years you wont see the Rosehill's

I'd have rather Holmgren kept his word and drafted the best player available instead of drafting by needs (defensemen). I don't see any of the top three players the Flyers drafted this year making it to the dance for another 3-4 years.

@beachflyer How does drafting the #12 ranked player at #42 not fit into the best player available? Sorry, but that post seems negative just to be negative.

Really, if they were drafting by need selecting Hagg and Morin, who was a better pick at that point? Shankurick was there, Domi was there, but long term, were they the best player available? I like our picks. Morin's upside is higher than those two....although I really like Domi's all round game, to many people see the last name and dismiss him, he's nothing like the old man. McKenzie even had the balls to call him a "poor man's" version of Crosby.
