Dreger reports Vinnie to Flyers

Recommended Posts

I'm seeing 5/6 years @ 5mil per year. Another old guys taking Cap space again, when will he stop signing old guys.

I was close 5/23.5 for 4.7mil per year. That means Gagne not coming back?

No link yet, by the Windsosr evening news just said, he's a Flyer. Not to happy about this, wonder what the tems were?

I'm not ready to pass judgment on this yet. Obviously, there is a trade coming. Although I like Mez's game when he is healthy, I don't think we'll see that. If Homer can trade Mez for a prospect then I'll feel better about this signing.

@brelic That's not much of a "buy out" discount. Kinda knew this would happen with so many interested teams. The part that irks me, it shows no plan, and AGAIN...no faith for our youngsters to grow into a 2nd line center role.

It still shows a startling lack of faith in our own youngsters to grow into the 2nd line center role...no?

Sry guys but we needed someone with size down the middle. He fits the bill.

What good is the size when you're too old to use it...He's on the downside of a career, that kind of cash contract could have been given to someone younger

Yeah. They need people to play on the blue line. They also need a scoring winger. And they also need another goalie.

Look I don't hate Vinnie. I hate overpaying for players and then giving them NMC clauses so the team is hamstrung for years.

Where do Schenn and Coots play? One of their untouchable centers is now a winger. And Shenn sucked on the wing last year.
