I did. This is just yet another reason why this looks like the same old Flyers. The AHL should be a farm system to develop your players. But Flyer management thinks getting those veterans in there gives you a better chance to win. That may be true in the "now", but it doesn't help for long term development. The BIG PICTURE just doesn't exist with these people.

You know what else could stunt his development? NOT PLAYING.

It's gotta be Flyers management vs winning the cup. This is a fierce rivalry that has gone on for 5 decades, with Flyer management the clear victors so far.

But with scorers Michkov/Foerster/Tippett already there or in the pipeline, why take yet another winger when it's the ONLY position of strength the Flyers have, when this draft should have defencemen and maybe a centre or two when we pick? Now I get you always take best player available with a 1st rounder, but I'm pretty sure that when it comes to selecting 12th, he isn't the BPA and we could take a position we actually need. Of course the Flyers don't usually plan anything, so I can see Eisermann being added to the wing stockpile while we sorely lack everywhere else.

Hats off to Sheldon Keefe for what he's become. After being victimized by that smarmy eel David Frost he could have gone a far darker route. That's a quality exit right there sir!

He's got a great shot which we already have in Michkov and Foerster, and Tippett...we need guys to get them the puck, and build up the blueline. Fallers in drafts (because of their play, not politics) don't generally fair well . I don't think he was ever a lock to be top 5...I thought he was usually in the 5-10 conversation, and sometimes even a bit lower.
