But if we can get Laughton in the line up, I like him on the forth line. Work his way in. Rafl and Rinaldo would be good wingers for him. For the forward group all that's missing is a second line winger . I'm not sure who you plug is there. Reid? Maybe a ufa? Trade? Not sure. On d comes the most shocking moves I have in store. Keep it the same and bring in some more youth. Kimmo needs to go though, unless at a severely reduced salary and roster position. Morin,ghost,alt need to be given the chance to take a or some spots. Perfect world ghost and morin are ready. Bottom line. My youth stays and that's what I build around. Because in this league now you have to have youth in your line up. Sure if I could get weber for like Laughton and a 1st and Gus I would take it. Lol

Well this is prolly the best news we can get at this point in the season. The team is playing with the best in the league and doing well. I was worried we would lose some of these games and find ourselves out of the playoffs. I could see at that time in the offseason a coots or b Schenn being moved for a mid teir dman in a knee jerk reaction. Let this team go and let the young d in the system show what they have next training camp.

They need to put in Gus in place of grossman and keep mez in the line up. I would like to see vinny traded for another dman that can nice the puck. I like vinny but it's time to see what we can get for him without including a young center.

The flyers will have a ton of space next off season. They will make a trade for a number 1. U know they can't stand to let cap space go to waste.

E Kane is a power forward as far as I'm concerned. What has he done? He makes room for the scorers and plants himself infront of net. Sticks up for his teammates and is a huge member of the community. He isn't going anywhere. Points just don't make the player. Besides point wise he is among the team high.

Ok. So move Hartnel and replace him with who? Against Boston and physical teams we might as well say we made the playoffs and that's it because we would get killed. Hartnel and simmonds are the only power forwards we have. You people need to learn the actual benifits harts brings to the team. Unless we are getting Nash, ovie, Kane, or something along those lines Hartnel cannot go anywhere.

It's a charge by the means of the placement of schenn to the boards. Also he took two strides after coasting for a bit into the zone once he saw schenn . These are the hits the nhl is trying to remove from the game. And it's a hit that started the end of my playing career.

Are u an idiot? What do you mean when you say do you think they carry rule books around? I played hockey for 15 years. We are taught the rules and new rules each season. If he doesn't know the most basic rules that are in the fame for a decade he shouldn't play. Please please use more intelligence when responding. How do you know what his intent was? Do you really think these guys carry the rulebook around with them and he's thinking, "Now if I keep taking strides, I'm going to get a penalty, so I should stop" or "I want to hurt him, so I am going to keep skating up until the very last minute." If you want to penalize him because it's the definition, that's fine. But don't talk to me about his intent. You have no idea what his intentions were. And if Schenn didn't turn towards the boards, he doesn't get hurt, and Wilson only gets a couple of minutes for charging. It only because escalated because Schenn got hurt. I can't blame him for turning away, it's a natural reaction, but that's the reason he got rocked so bad.

He charged. He was increasing speed as he was lining up his hit. Can't get much more clearer on intent there. Schenn turned towards the boards at the last second. If he didn't do that, he doesn't get his face/head smashed into the boards. He even turned towards the boards because he saw the hit coming. This was not an unsuspecting player being blindsided. It's a shame, because he looked like he was really hurting, but that was not a dirty hit. It's not a dirty hit just because the player gets hurt. Schenn saw somebody about to hit him and the natural reaction to that is to turn away. Unfortunately for him he was too close to the boards and by doing that he put himself in a position to be hurt worse than he would have if he did not.

I think the flyers couldn't find someone to fill that third line spot. I think downie gives them extra offense and makes the other team confused to what line to match with what. It's a checking line that can score.

I really don't have issues with this team. It's a good team with a lot of work needed on a new system. I can see the difference on the ice. Is this team missing a number one winger? I say no. They have voracek holding down that line. I think a lot of the issues with the top line is messing with the people on the lines too much. Let them go and learn to play with each other. Also they need a top dman. That is true to a point. Six capable dmen can take away that true need for a top flight dman. Do they have that six capable dmen? Hard to say right now. However, if they don't and need one well good luck. Good puck moving dmen ,let alone top five,don't get moved. If they do get moved its for a premium. Here is my question to you guys........if this team plays the way they have recently and say the preds offer up weber for Schenn/coots/read and Laughton. They want any of those three would you take it. No picks just players. My answer?..... No. I'm letting this team play out as is and allow our young players to play in this system for at least this full year. I believe we have good talent in the system like morin and Haag , the latter not doing very well now. At the end of the year we evaluate our needs and if we finished in the lottery then maybe I would come back to the weber offer. But they play well and compete every night and just miss the playoffs I stand pat and hope we get better with subtraction. Referring to kimmo and mez.

G is not a top five player is the league and never truly was. Him being captain was a brutal mistake by this organization. He is untradable with this contract. Everyone stays and build through the draft. I would select the top ranked dman. Another center isn't needed at this point. Unless it's a crosby or something. This team needs good coaching and tactisinist. I honestly believe as constructed this is a playoff team and capable of damage. Something is wrong in this locker room. However, that brawl last night may be what was needed to right this ship. A sort of coming together and starting that fire that they needed. Time will tell.

This team is heavily talented. All of a sudden these players forgot how to play? Hardly. The coaching change should have been Murray and not be berube. We can't trade any vets on this team with high salaries like kimmo until the deadline because of the cap and demand of the players are higher at that point. Man I hate to say it but Murray needs to take over and let this ride out and keep our young players and build for the future. But I have a feeling we will go into panic mode and trade young talent for crap because that's what the flyers do.
