Wait - you mean they didn't choose to sign Ville Leino to that God-awful contract?  I knew it...Darcy just slipped on a banana peel and - oops! - signed the contact.

Exactly!!  There just happened to be a SIGNED 6 year, $27 million contract blowing down the street, and lucky for old Ville, he grabbed it and signed his name to it!

Lucky dog!

Those are all over the streets of Philadelphia. I've got a formal complaint into the City Streets Department about that.

I would suggest they were getting worse LONG before the Vanek and Pommer trades. They didn't make a choice to get worse...they were already bad and decided to rebuild.

You can thank Darcy for that.  He should have been gone eons ago.....

Yeah they must have really sucked to have won the Presidents Trophy and go to two eastern conference finals not that long ago.   Gee.  And of course we lost that 7 game series to your beloved Flyers.  But I rememeber when we beat you the series before that one. Where are we going now?  Time will tell.  Where are you going now?  The same

As has been pointed out to you on more than one (thousand) occasion(s), a poster's "favorite team" is right there under their avatar.

You also post at B21 as if he was the same poster as nossagog.

Your obsession with "b-b-b-b-but The Flyers!" is laughable and unnecessary all at once.

Well as to this, we are different people, but since we are both Pens fans then we are considered a part of the collective, I am simply known as 13 of 1928379. In the end, uncle Gary has a plan, you will all be asimilated as Pens fans.

So, you're saying you're in the tank for the Pens? Or was that Pens tanking? Or something? :D

As amusing as it was when I first saw it, I'm not sure the spectacle of Sideshow Bob continually smacking himself in the face with a rake (rick?) would continue to be as amusing after people told Sideshow Bob how to avoid them 27 times.

It's been 7 years since that Presidents trophy and 14 years since the Sabres lost the cup to Brett Hull. Only two trips to the SCF in franchise history,

Technically it wasn't tanking, that would mean that we alone did it on purpose to get a better pick.   But since we all know that this was part of Uncle Gary's master plan for the Penguins, at least that's what I have seen on the internet so it must be true, then no matter how hard we tried we were still going to get that pick for Crosby, the immense level that we sucked at that point was just a coincidence.

Ummmm...the President's Trophy was 7 years ago, and their last Eastern Conference Championship was 1998-99.  Granted, they made the Conference Finals in 06 and 07 but I would consider that pretty long ago, in sports years.  Additionally, they've missed the playoffs 7 out of the last 11 seasons.

But feel free to keep counting "appearances".   :D

Looking at your favorite team under your logo, I do not see how you can sit there and trash my Sabres when the roof is caving in around you.  When you get rid of Holmgren and do something right down yonder, and do any better than us then let me have it.  And if you think being just above 500 and maybe sneaking in is going to get your team a trophy you are sadly mistaken.  Look at the reality of it all.  I would rather be us than you right now.   At least we have a boat load of picks to work with

Not sure why you are making this about the Flyers. The numbers don't lie-you act like having one Eastern conference championship, a Presidents cup and 2 conference finals appearances in 14 years is something to brag about-it's not. At least not to the rest of the sporting world-but in the barren sports world of Buffalow, maybe it is?

At least, Miller got the start over Quick today, so Bufffalow can hang their hats on that as well. Oh wait........

By "the roof caving in" he apparently means "currently in a playoff spot"

Or something...

You realize the roof has already caved in around the Sabres, no?  Careful with the draft picks, too. No guarantees.  Just ask the Islanders and Oilers.

The Bleacher report has Vanek, a former Sabre, and Moulson and Miller as the top guys to be traded.  Buffalo should walk with a boat load of picks, not that they do not already have alot.  Steve Ott on the list too.  I expect them to get picks and players back.  I only wish they would offer Miller a long term contract.  I do not think we will be as stagnant as the Islanders and Oilers.  It wont happen.  Buffalo has never gone long without bouncing back as a playoff caliber team.  Expect a far better bounce back this time given the ammunition they are stock piling.  I expect number ones for next years draft to be in the mix

You can say that about the Sabres every year. Two Stanley Cup Finals in team history, both losses and got to watch other teams raise the cup on Buffalo ice.

Your team is no success in recent years either.  If we go back fifteen years only the Sabres have been better than the Flyers.  And we have beaten you in that stretch also  in a series.  In case you want to bring up that 7 game series a few years back.  Your team sucks too. At least we have a ton of picks.  You do not have anything but a block head of a GM moving forward.  We will be in the finals before you are

And need I remind you Chicago raised the Cup on your ice you fool

Really, we need to name call?

Yes, I am very aware the Blackhawks raised the cup on Flyers Ice in 2010. Maybe if the Flyers had Miller it would have been a different story

The only way the Sabres will be in the finals before the Flyers is in whatever video game system you are playing!
