Mask are actually part of the problem with the rise of the virus...

...it gives people the feeling and false sense of security that they don't have to social distance and wash their hands anymore and that is what is causing it to spread again.

You need to wear the mask and continue to both wash your hands and practice social distancing all at the same time to help prevent the spread.

My PSA for today.

Happy Rick DiPietro day! The former Isles goalie and #1 pick gets a cool $1.5 million today and every July 1st for the next 8 years as part of his insane 15 year contract buyout

It's now up to the NHLPA to vote and ratify the agreement.

Should the agreement go into effect, hockey fans can expect to see the puck dropped on the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs on Saturday, August 1st.

Training camps (Phase 3) will officially open a week today on Monday, July 13th. Players will travel to the NHL's two hub cities (Edmonton in the Western Conference, Toronto in the Eastern Conference) on July 26th in preparation for puck drop on August 1st. The hope then is that the Stanley Cup Playoffs will conclude with a new champion sometime before October, 2020. No word yet on the opening of the 2020-21 season, but I think it's probably safe to say that the NHL will push things into 2021 and utilize a condensed schedule in an attempt to wrap things up in June 2021. Hopefully come the 2021-22 season there will be some sense of normalcy when it comes to the NHL's schedule.

In any case, the NHL looks to be officially back. At the very least it's nice to pencil in some important dates on the calendar.

As we notice no Nolan Patrick on the roster....

...so i think if we don't see him whenever the 2020-21 starts in December or even later we will be seeing the end of his career...sady.

He hasn't played since April 2nd 2019....

I read something earlier that said he was still dealing with the migraines.

I also reads that Sam Morin is back to skating and is on track for his return next season.

That sucks for the kid.

Regardless of his Flyer career I hope he can have a good quality of life if he ever decides to hang em up.

It socks for the Flyer but I ain't mad at him.

Wondering about Kevin Hayes conditioning regime over the last 4 months...😟

I think the bucket in the photo with G and Couturier shows it wasn't "great".

@CoachX

@OccamsRazor

At the press availability yesterday Fletcher seemed optimistic, Said Patrick told he's feeling the best he's felt. Also mentioned "the short runway" about getting the season resumed.

I think they are trying to manage him so he can resume his career, I'm choosing to remain realistically hopeful.

Crosby missed nearly a year and half. With neck/ concussion injuries.
