  1. Perry picked his team. He has chosen the oilers to finish the season with Good signing. He is never gonna score 50, hell I would bet the farm he won't score 50 total but he plays solid and can play wing on multiple lines. Good cheap addition.
  2. Surprised by this. Lambert was considered THE top hot young coaching prospect, Lou used him for a few minutes, tarnished his rep, let Trotz go and now has...... Roy. You know, the guy who literally quite on Colorado leaving them in a lurch as the season was starting. They were made for each other. Not a compliment.
  3. These guys are UFA who will be moved at or near the deadline. Zaitsev Hanifin if not resigned Tanev Lyinushkin Bean Edmundson Edmonton is sorely lacking cap space but where there is a Will there is a way. Any of these guys healthy and playing second line would make them even deeper.
  4. I am in three fantasy leagues with most of these guys, I traded for Skinner in every single league about game ten for around fifty cents on the dollar. Edmonton always starts slow than catches fire. From a fantasy standpoint I love Skinner and it will get better. Ek'/ nurse/bouchard are damn good quality if someone wakes Holland up another will be added. I picked them to win the championship my mind has not been changed.
  5. Merzlikins is not a number one goalie for any team who is being serious. Overpaid, does not have killer instinct. Offer a bag of well used warm up pucks and take on half his salary the CBJ will be glad to dump him. Puff puff pass.
  6. Moving on from Cutter.... Drysdale is a top flight quality defender, first pair shut down guy, QB on the second power play. Honestly he was in the Calder convo his rookie year of a solid class. A few years are burned but the kid can flat out play. This is not a vet playing Torts system, this is a kid with tons of talent. A few years burned in Anaheim which sucks but seriously, the kid can play. Not a big kid but quick, instinctive, the offense will probably end up around 45-50 points as a peak. Health is a huge asterisk but use your eyes. The Flyers are better right now with him in the lineup.
  7. Love it. This dysfunctional foreign legion of an F troop is just a hot mess. At least the AHL coach will miss Tyson Jost. Recent moves Jost cleared waivers and was shipped. Tage Thompson activated, healthy ready to rock than set for personal reasons. Defenseman Ryan Johnson shipped to minors Friday at 11am, recalled four hours later The coaching fiasco. God I am glad none of this anywhere near Detroit
  8. Wings fan coming in peace lol. Lots and lots to like, although the Wings are banged up and on a skid right now. Husso out, Klostin on IR. Maatta game time decision. Still, Kane on fire, Debrincat looks so very happy. Larkin a dynamic two way center. The wings lost quite a few games against mediocre teams lately, I think that of all the teams in desperate need of four days off it is Detroit. 5-3 Wings, Edvinsson with the Gwg on the second power play
  9. I was there!! First time watching Ovie in person. He set Mantha up on his first goal, then took his sweet time with the winner. Lazy, he hung around the blueline but when he needed to bang he did. Jensen looked really, really good, his confidence is through the roof. Nobody got a good shot past him all night.
  10. Nolan Patrick announced his retirement today from the NHL. He is 25. He was the second pick in the draft behind Nico Hischier, the next three picks after Patrick were Heiskanen, Makar and Elias Peterson. Patrick saw his career derailed by migraines. 32 goals, 77 points in 222 games. That's it.
  11. Hayes. And vrana. Krug. Saad, kapanen and Sundqvist are rumored to be a line. Leddy and scandella are on America's most wanted for stealing a paycheck. Blais was traded away (smart) but then overpaid to get back (dumb). Armstrong is the culprit. Period.
  12. The Chief is dead After yet another killer loss Doug Armstrong fired Berube. AHL coach Drew Banister takes on the interm coaching gig Berube took over and won the cup with the blues but over four years Taresenko, pietrangelo and others moved on while Armstrong tried to bring lightning in a bottle with poor results, vrana on waivers, krug wants dealt, half a dozen baffled adds that went nowhere. Berube tried to make gnat sh1t outta pepper. He deserves better
  13. Traded Robinson to buffalo for a 7th rounder. Nothing for nothing. Greaves in the mix in net, didn't move the needle although he played very sound last night.
  14. IDK about Hughes man. Pure offense, his defense is poor, he moves the puck very well but the best way to pin him in is to force him to play pinned in. Very flawed, incredible teammates, I just feel his scarier moments are ahead. Still hiskanen unless someone comes along for the Norris ....
  15. A bit of this and that ... TOP TURN RANKINGS 1-32 32 Sharks. What a disaster 31 Hawks. Sigh, at least they have bedard 30. CBJ. Lost without a clue 29. Sens. Half the team is unwatchable 28. Sabres. Fools gold 27. Oilers. A bit of a spark. 26. Wild. Two steps forward three back 25. Ducks. Bright future bleak today. 24. Kraken. Ugly nameless team. 23. Blues. Can win or lose 6-0 any day. 22. Canadians. Play hard but so many holes. 21. Preds. Saros, forsberg quietly being shopped 20. Flames don't look now but getting there 19. Penguins 5 stars, 15 slugs. 18. Yotes. Always in every game. 17. Flyers Torts says they have balls. He's right. 16. Jets. They played as a team every day 15. Capitals three goalies. Underrated. 14. Lightning. Something very wrong 13. Wings. Man only missing is a tender 12. Canucks. Built western tough. 11. Isles. The new preds. 10. Leafs. Trying a stable back ender 9. Canes. Big holes, hard work. Need something 8. Rangers steamrolled most everyone 7. Knights resting until playoffs. Deadly 6. Devils. Yep forget record. When healthy a twelve game streak coming now. 5. Bruins. Slipped a gear. 4. Kings. An elite of elite 3. Lanche classy wants healthy at the right time 2. Stars perfect top 50 or so organization 1. Panthers. Just resting and retooling HART trophy gotta be McDavid VEZINA shester CALDER bedard. Duh ADAMS Spencer Carbery, coaching ,Capitals hitting the buttons. LADY BING again, nobody cares. Quarter turn, lots and lots to play. MC Jesus strikes me, moreso than Hughes who is crushing it.
  16. I know rumor and innuendo can ruin things indefinitely. Anyone can make jokes .........
  17. @Brewin Flames mentioned, cannot go wrong. I have Sabres in Danny Gare which kinda sorta tells my age lol. I would go with Thompson and Levi personally.
  18. So anyway, no depth, no lower six, no bottom four, two elite level contracts. You could go top six forwards, top two blueliners and maaaaybe a stretch of top two back ends. The problem was it was everything. Crazy top six, middle six sux. Top two elite pair bottom four couldn't stop anyone. That's the problem, they looked up inch and death and decided, that's the problem, we need this and that. Sometimes you can win with a golden ticket but maybe ten percent of the time. Claude giroux signs a four year deal.lets grab Korpi or boom or bust chychrum or batherson. It's maddenly slow takes process, hell about four dudes are hear but it works. For ten years give or take but they slowly, glacially, methodical they put the brutes down, very tickled. We are young deep and raring to go. Yzer-plan as you were.......
  19. Ldk dude, the coach is a bit of a mess, the lines aren't set up everything wrong, inexperienced. IMHO the Sens have skilled depth fun run, elite level.
  20. Wild flat. Bit flat, Kaprisov a nifty but he when push comes to shove it's over. Seriously they lost when the Wild was over. Seriously Seider took over, ghost went crazy and that is something. Pushing just on dictating. Freaking love it.
