By off the board I mean "not a name".

@OccamsRazor mentioned the a guy from the NCAA and

 USHL, Mike Hastings.

Maybe he is coaching his last college game Saturday night before heading to Philly. I think he could be a sweet hire for Chuck but I'm sure the Flyers don't get that lucky - they'll snag a good ol recycled coach like Rick Tocchet or a Dave Tippett someone who was a former Flyer.

Maybe they promote Lappy since he did so well with the Phantoms this year.

Or better yet just let Yeo stay and run the ship into the iceberg like he is trained to do.

@OccamsRazor

Lemme think on this a little.

I like the idea though.

Draisaitl would be an interesting player to start with.

I think this could be a fun way to kill some time.

Hey TFG turned this into a different thread so if you will post your idea or thoughts there when you're ready.

I think this current team is all about the cancer that is Holmgren.

So glancing at your name do you think Homer would fire Kim?

I mean I could see it since on the surface it seems Homer is trying to remove as much of what Ron has built as he can.

And if he did I would be ok with it since no one has blossomed under his tutelage.

And if so do you have anyone you would think would be a great replacement?

Like an Allaire - edit - ok well I thought I could have swore he retired in 2017 but it says he is coaching the Avs.

His son with the Rangers.

Sean Burke, Mitch Korn, Waite and Ranford to name a few?

Now with the names I threw I don't know where any of these guys are or even would they be available.

Edit:

I guess if I had a wish list it would be my local team's coach David Marcoux who to me has gotten a lot out of all the goalies he has coach while being there.

But why would he want to leave a club that is on top if seems for what is now a bottom feeder?

I'd hire Ranford in a second.

I'm like I can't say for certain but I thought he was in LA or was.

I really need to research this.

But, with Kim being here for the number of years he has, it's just not working out.  And, there's absolutely no doubt in my mind that Hart can be a better goaltender than he currently is showing.  He just seems to have a number of errors in simple techniques that are continually getting exploited.  Coaching has to have a lot to do with this.  And this organization badly needs him to be that better goaltender.

This is where I am at and let's please change it before they ruin this kid completely.

No sense in waiting any longer.

But I see I think Jordan Hall say something about the Flyers are evaluating about where to bring Jones back.

Are you ******** kidding me?

Time to move on to a kid.

Sandström or Fedotov even both are 25 and will be going 26 next season like you said with Ron's flaw keeping guys dow  to long I mean damn it is time to sh it or get off the pot with these guys.

Leave Ersson and/or Ustimenko in the AHL and give these older guys a damn shot.

It is a rebuild year anyways and let stop with the coddling get Hart a good coach and stop counting on a vet to raise him.

Sam Hinkie was hated and eventually fired, but he did bring in some good picks.  We need some good first rounders in coming years.  I would prefer David Poile or Bill Zito as GM.

If only the Flyers had a shot to hire Zito instead of Fletcher... Oh.

Oh and does anyone know if the Bedard kid coming out next season is the son of Redwings goalie coach Jim Bedard?

Or they just have the same last name.

Don't think so...Connor is from BC. Jim doesn't seem to have worked out there at all.

Dear AJ:  Yeah, moving Zito or an incumbent GM would be tough.  I'd go after the assistants of Karkoleinen, Zito, Wilson, or Poile.  Hopefully the apples wouldn't fall far from the tree.

Flyer management 101. Trade for Ellis. Sign Hayes. Sign Yandle. Sign Brassard. Trade Myers. Sign Jones. Sign Elliott. Sign Bryzgalov. Hows that lets get old and slow working out for ya Homer?

Well it isn't just so much about signing older guys it is more about signing the RIGHT older guys.

And not for no 7 or 8 years either...

I was referring to the fact that they interviewed him and then hired Fletcher.

The guy I like is Tulsky out of Carolina. Pipe dream, but he's from Philly.

Look forward to have something to discuss....maybe.

I haven't been around much lately, so I don't know what the question was. Which is fine, because I'm pretty sure I don't want to know the answer.

I'm going to help you out here because you're kind to sheep and all.

The question is this:

Divorced from the current miasma of poor decisions and outcomes...

Whom would you try to build a team around?

Say Bill Poile is caught keying Roman Josi's car...and he becomes available.

Does Roman Josi become the Flyers version of Artemi Panarin?

I picked two players, it would be fun to see your thoughts.

Sure it would be fun, but it sounds suspiciously like work...

Here is the list of players that Flyer management deems likely to get us there. (Where there is I have no idea)

These are the only players realistically available. Choose wisely...
